Like a team gets 1 guy on Offense and or Defense that does not count against the cap. But I guess the smaller venue teams would probably throw a fit over that. But they can't keep it the way it is now. A team paying 1 or 2 players 30+ million eats up 20-30% of the cap and you still have 50 other players. It's a recipe for disaster. Unsustainable in the near future. JMHO.

The problem is that players are getting paid way to much money for they do.

If Bosa ends up getting hurt because he isn't in football shape, heads need to roll. Starting with Paraag.

Man, I didn't want to actual type those words and put them out into the universe but that's the exact issue I can see happening.
We have a terrible track record with this and he has had injury issues in the past, put that together with our horrid luck and it's just another on par chapter in a novel we have all seen many times.

The most he can hold out and miss is half the season. If he tries for longer he will lose a year of eligibility. So at worst it's missing the first 8 games.

Lmao 🤣 "at worst"…..

This would ruin our season and would it be worth it to lose another season for players like Trent Williams or Fred Warner, Deebo, Kittle….ect….?

The window for this roster is getting scary close to being closed, IDGAF if he wants the team renamed, PAY PAY PAY this dude and keep him healthy!!

With a franchise QB, the window is more open than it ever was before.
Dude gonna hold out into the season or what?
49ers top brass obviously not going all in if they fail to sign Bosa.

Ya the owners should get all the money since that's who is risking their health and fans want to see.

Nope. How about not making everything not so expensive for everyone else and stop cry about not making enough to fund a small country.

In what world, owners and players, is it ok with that kinda of concentration wealth meanwhile most cant afford to park the car at the stadium. Sitting on the sidelines because 17 mill is not enough, while under contract, is ignorant to the reality of most.

I get it, but that's the market set by us fans. We can only be mad at ourselves for investing our time and money so much into this sport.
A deal might already be done but as AB pointed out in the salary cap thread it benefits the 49ers at this point to not sign him until Wednesday. That way he is not taking up a roster spot and they can keep someone on the 53 man roster without cutting them and put them on IR.

He's under contract via the 5th-year option, no? Why would he not be on the 53 man roster?
