If they were waiting to move Lance before paying their best player….then there's some issues there

If that were the case he would've been signed yesterday or the day before.
I just want a Bosa signing now and him being in the best shape of his life so we dont skip a beat to start the year. Hope he hungry as hell as to how we ended the season last year to the Eagles.

does anyone know what his off season program looks like? like what he is doing to emulate camp right now? need to make sure he is in football shape since he missed all camp.

No leaks of his training, but Bosa is definitely not sitting around doing nothing

Everything I've ever read about him is how strict and disciplined he is about his training regiment and his diet, so I'm not concerned about him. Just curious what he is doing to emulate training camp. I really didn't expect this to drag out like this, must be a really big sticking point that they can't get over.

I think it's going to be five year contract and he is doing something to ensure he is still one of the highest paid guys by year 3-5 or something.

The only thing that might be tough to work on is actually going against someone else. But it sounds like you can up to speed with that in a two week time frame (lynch). But he would need to show up to HQ by tomorrow
We need Bosa's extension asap, before Tuesday. I think bosa knows that and that's what they're waiting for.

once Tuesday hits, the top 51 rule goes away (only the top 51 salaries count against the cap). So the full 53 salaries count, practice squad, dead cap, injured reserve etc.

with Bosa's current salary (before the extension), we have approx $500k in cap space. That's the leverage bosa is using, and it's a big reason we can't just go sign gould.

this is why when people say stupid s**t like "it's only a few mil for a QB3" and all that, when you're paying a lot of positions top of the league pay - that stuff makes a big difference. Our salary cap is in a tight spot and a million here and there makes a massive difference, we have almost 0 cap room right now because of what happens on Tuesday and are over the cap next year, so anything we can roll over and clear - is massive.

I hate when I'm right about these things. Hope he signs soon.

Hope your not thinking they'll pull a Buckner and trade for a high draft pick to take Kinlaw lol.

What did you hope your not right about ? it'll scare me, you have great insight.

Dude gonna hold out into the season or what?

I read the other day his agent is top notch tough as nails.
I heard that he will be fined 1 million dollars for every game he misses during the season.
I'm not feeling good about this. I'm concerned he'll miss a few games or so at this point.

Idk if it's technically a fine, he will just lose a game check cause he didn't play.
His salary this year is $17,859,000 - it gets paid out 1/18 a week (18 week season including the bye week). so every week he misses, he loses $992,167.

and I don't know if game checks can be "forgiven" like the training camp penalty that he's accrued.

Either way he loses that million every game. I don't think it can be forgiven either.
