I heard that he will be fined 1 million dollars for every game he misses during the season.

Idk if it's technically a fine, he will just lose a game check cause he didn't play.
His salary this year is $17,859,000 - it gets paid out 1/18 a week (18 week season including the bye week). so every week he misses, he loses $992,167.

and I don't know if game checks can be "forgiven" like the training camp penalty that he's accrued.

Either way he loses that million every game. I don't think it can be forgiven either.

Yes, sir! I think both are incentivized to get this deal done before Tuesday. We need the cap space and he doesn't want to start losing game checks. we definitely don't want to play a game without him. lol I think Bosa has more leverage than we do.

Lombardi has said that his cap number in 2024 is possibly the holdup because we are already quite a bit over the cap next year. so that number is super important.

Where did Lombardi say that?

In one of his videos he posted on YT today.

Have a feeling this will all go down on Wednesday so we can use his spot to slide Latu on short term IR.

I still don't get this logic.

They can report the deal as done through Schefter/Ian Rap at any point it's done and agreed to, and then have Bosa officially sign after the roster cutdown. They don't need to wait for Bosa to officially sign it to report it. In fact, the sports media cycle rarely waits for the player to actually sign a deal before reporting it.

This is why many free agent deals are reported as done/agreed to 1-2 days before the league year starts, even though no player can officially sign until the league year starts.

Today would be a great day to sign Bosa.
Time for a compromise on both sides. The team needs this

Sources indicate term and money is all ironed out. Final sticking point is Bosa wants the parking space nearest to the front door. Kyle is playing hardball and won't give it up.
