We done with this stupid pointless exercise, yet?

Or the fact that Parsons was never getting drafted here. Anyone who thinks otherwise knows nothing of his background.

Agreed, but I still think he's asking for something they don't feel they should give in on. One of the best writers speculated that he doesn't want to have another player leapfrog him for highest paid defender anytime soon, which is a ridiculous ask. I still really think he's asking for the 1st fully guaranteed contract for a defensive player.

When we knew we could not sign Nick we thought the better route would be to reverse the Trey trade to unlock Nick. We as an organization appreciate what Nick has done for us and he will succeed with Dallas as we are all pulling for him".
Sound about right 😆

Yes it was a hypothetical response to a trade for Lace from the Cowboy's for Bosa jk😜
Public opinion typically matters to players. Although we don't know how much he wants, I'm guessing it's more than top DE money. Players who demand to be the highest paid non QB are not only greedy, but crappy team mates. Not leaving money left for others leaves your team weaker in spots. I'm hoping Nick gets a big bag of money from us ASAP, but it shouldn't be much more than Watt (who's a better player)

The 49ers have much more of an incentive to get Bosa in before Watt was extended. We are installing a new defensive scheme. We need Bosa in here now. The team is dropping the ball. Get him signed.

New scheme lol, Nick is gonna be fine. See QB, get QB.
Let's hear your magic wand to have gotten him here 2 months or so ago? It would have been to dramatically overpay this deal, even more than it will end up being. Can't do that, in a sport with a salary cap, the team is seeking the best deal for the club, just as Nick is seeking the best deal for him. Eventually one or both sides will have to back down, and that's coming very soon.

Dude you are arguing just for the sake of arguing now. My original post was just that there is no reason this hasnt been completed yet, which I stand by. Bother someone else.

I asked a pretty simple question, you said it should have been done sooner. The only way to do that (that I am aware of) is to dramatically overpay. How else do you get it done sooner? I was asking if you had any other ideas.

Disagree on both of these statements

Lol. A guy who is looking for his first big payday and who is young, elite, reigning DPOY and most valuable asset on a pretty stacked team...wanting to be paid what hes worth, is a greedy and crappy teammate ?

Im sure that's why Fred Warner celebrated with Bosas celebration and showed "make it rain" after his sack in the preseason. Because Bosa is such a terrible teammate.

Anytime someone says 'word on the street' just keep scrolling
They've still got more than a week. I'll start sweating if it's not done Monday.

I disagree with this as well. A lot of guys on our team (Warner, armstead, kittle, juice, Trent) are amongst the highest paid at their position and are captains. So that doesn't make sense.

i do think some guys are selfish and hypocrites but not guys like bosa. Especially if he structures it in a way to help the team. I think guys like Rodgers have been selfish/greedy at times in his career because he signed short deals so he could continually be amongst the highest paid at the position, instead of doing what mahommes and hurts have done where it's long contracts to help the team stay competitive. I wouldn't put bosa in that group.

Rodgers last 2 contracts were 4 years and then 3 years. It's hard to build a competitive roster outside of the draft when you don't have 5-6 years to spread the large qb salary around.

dak llayed on the franchise tag (massive single year cap hit that can't be fiddled with) and then a four year deal - it's almost already over and he's hitting $60M in cap hit.

im not mad at these guys for getting paid, do what you gotta do, but just don't talk like you're all about winning a super bowl. Be a little more team friendly cap wise - you're still making a ton.

No, thats not what you did. You didnt ask a "pretty simple question" until your 4th reply to me, and even that was wrapped in a smart ass comment about a magic wand.

Like I said, go bother someone else.

I get the feeling that Bosa doesn't GAF, so it comes down to when the FO will cave.

But he does, he loves the game, the team, football, he loves all that stuff. Can't imagine this dude, just watching week 1 football from the couch. No way on earth.
