People so panicked in here they're calling for Jed to step in and interfere? Never thought I'd see that day in Niner Talk.

I'm with that.....We are not having a great offseason with the exception of Hargrave. Please make it stop and finish this lol.
Thank God this does not count on our record unless these issues are not resolved.

I really think Paraag Marathe is the problem here. Jed York needs to step in and order him to make this deal. the 49ers don't have the leverage here. Bosa does. This team can't survive another botched situation before the first game even starts. This is just terrible. Top players cost money. Paraag Marathe needs to get right with that. Bosa shouldn't be expect to take a "team friendly" deal, or some hometown discount. Pay the man goddammit.
this isnt true at all.
they have the 5th yr option, two years of franchise tagging and can start collecting the $50K / day fines they previously said theyre waiving while they work on a deal.
I agree that we can tag him and exercise the 5th year option. But what if he don't play? And tagging him will be the worst decision. This will ruin the relationship, and he may not play under the tag.
then he's fined $50K per day and loses an accrual year if a holdout lasts past week 8

When does the $50K actually start? Is he already getting fined that?

Bosa is 100% healthy and we never had to worry about him getting hurt before the season.
Only having 1 player bust rather than 3 1st round busts is a improvement
McGlinchey being gone will never not be a good thing

So, what we have at this point, is a tweet from the KRON Sports Director that Bosa will sign a deal this week and will play for the 49ers against Pittsburgh. Is that right? Every other report I've seen is based upon the KRON SD tweet?
The 49ers are very good at not releasing information. But also good at releasing hints to some selected reporters when the time is right. Perhaps this is legit?
Yes the 49ers do not leak anything pretty much ever but according to multiple sources this sports Director for KRON tv is highly credible. Much more credible than any of the local or other national football media from what I understand.

$10 says its because Bosa wants to be able to wear his MAGA hat at practice and during interviews.

That's good to hear. I also look at it from another perspective. Nick Bosa is, perhaps, the best player on the team. He certainly is the best player on defense. He's one of those guys who makes everyone around him look ten times better. Are there others like Bosa on this team? Yes, there are. What have the 49ers done with them this preseason?
1. LT Trent Williams-Did Not Play
2. RB: CMC-Did Not Play
Had Bosa been in camp, I doubt he would have played. The 49ers already know what they have in Nick Bosa, so why waste that talent in the preseason? Why risk injury?

Is there a single place in this world anymore where there's no politics involved?
