Are you using Mayo's penis?

We all do
I think he will sign before Friday hard figures can be discussed more after the cutdown

I think the sticking point is not the APY but the guaranteed money. Just my guess ( mean I have an internal source- trust me I'm a guy on the internet)

With how long this extension is taking, it better be a massive blockbuster like this lol

Preseason has been over for a week though
Waited all these months for regular season. It's just going to feel off and a let down if no Nick regardless of win or loss. The 9ers hve known for a year to prepare for this day. They seem very reasonable on most contracts. I can't imagine what Nick is asking for. It can't possibly be above $35m a year and $100m guaranteed could it? I want Bosa here at all costs but there will come a day when QB pay is back on table. We could be strangled if not careful.

They were saying on the radio if Brock does well this year, hell let's pretend a dream season and dream big, Brock's contract will need to be redone. I'm not sure how soon that can happen and not saying give him a record contract but he may need a bump from Mr. Irrelevant pay if this works out to hold him over to the big one. I'm sure the 9ers are planning for everything including this scenario as well as next players up.

Week 1 will suck without him but I hope he's also realizing the big picture for the future. This team could be knocking on the door of the ultimate prize several years over if the franchise can somewhat stay in tact.

You were listening to morons

Last CBA made iron clad rules regarding hold outs and new contracts

You cant negotiate until the rookie deal is in the final year

Purdy cant even think about an extension until this year and next year are over

Yeah understood but next year is not far away. Nick would still have at least two years left and probably three. So I don't think the comments are that far off. They need to think about this now. Not next year.
By the time Brock's contract needs to be extended, Bosa will already be 2yrs into his extension, and the cap will be $280M In 2025, and $300M in 2026, those are projections, but they should hit around there for both years.

Yeah, Brock can't even begin to talk about negotiations until after the 2024 season. I expect they're looking ahead though and making sure they have the cap room to potentially resign him, if things work out.

our salaries next year are high and balloon, so I anticipate once Bosa's deal is done, we start hammering out extensions for some more guys to clear up salary cap room and extend our window. Hopefully we lock down greenlaw, armstead, Warner etc.

My thought is that jed will keep giving out big signing bonuses to these guys so we can have lower cap hits when we need them and spread the monies around.
My comments below aren't jst about NickBosa. I'm using him as an example of what's happening in the NFL.

I know that players all want to be the highest paid at their position but even a great pass rusher like Bosa isn't worth $30 million per year. A DE isn't like a QB who is part of every offensive play. A DE can only have so much impact since he's just one of 11 guys and plays often are run in another part of the field.

I looked at Nicks impressive stats on Pro Football Reference and they still have minimal impact compared to a QB. He's averaged about .9 sacks per game. Three combined tackles per gameI 1.1 tackles for loss. 2.1 QB hits. One QB hurry per game.

Most teams run about 55-60 plays per game. If you combine all of his stats he's having an impact on about 9-10 plays per game. That's great but it's not on the same level as a QB. I think the whole NFL pay structure is out of whack and its' going to destroy some teams down the road. You can only keep pushing salaries back in order to fit under the cap for so long. If Bosa get's $30 million then somewhere down the road we're going to let a player walk.
