At this point I don't expect Bosa to play week one. Guy hasn't played competitively in a while and if we're paying him a s**t, load the last thing we need is to rush him out there.

After Labor day also makes sense.

Gives Bosa one week to get up to speed, which probably won't be a problem for him the way he keeps in shape. As others have said, most likely he'll be on a pitch count to make sure he eases back into things.

The last thing we need is for him not to play. He's good enough to be rushed out there.
If he is not playing week 1 or with a limited snap count, then that is a failure by the front office for not getting this done in a timely manner. He needs to be ready to go for that game, so get it done!

Only thing that worries me is increased chance of injury

we saw that during the pandemic when guys werent as football conditioned as usual
Bosa is a chill dude, I don't think he wants a big press conference on signing the contract.... I can see him signing Monday morning right before going out to practice then the world will know

On top of a cake walk no camp you shouldn't need to warm up for the season especially when making over $30m a year (soon). He's not porcelain. Throw his ass out there and get sacks.
Niners have been getting a huge bargain the last 4 years. Now it's time to pay him.

This has been my biggest fear the more this holdout has dragged on. If he signs in the next few days I can see him being on a snap count the first few weeks of the season which in return hurts the defense

Why is that on the FO?? If Bosa is off in crazy town — why would the Niners meet him there?

Youre talking about week 1 2023 problems when this is a multiple year contract. They are not the same.

He's not in crazy town and if reports that they are $4 million apart then it's a HUGE fail by the FO. Bosa has all the leverage in this situation, and if the team even loses him for 1 week and it costs a game, they will have shot themselves in BOTH feet.
The only good thing b out these negotiations is that neither side is talking. Nobody has said what the sticking point is. Money? Length of contract? Bonus money? Guaranteed money? Nothing leaked and that's great.

I wish salaries were never released. Then we wouldn't have this constant thing where everyone has to be the highest paid. I always told my employees not to discuss their salaries with other employees. I know some did but it's never a good idea. Everyone thinks they're as valuable as the other guy no matter whether they are or not.
I heard somewhere there's something like a 4 million per year gap in the two sides, 4 f**king million? That's bad
