Nick Bosa has signed a contract which doesn't expire until the end of the current season. He is contractually obliged to fulfill the role he was hired to do. He needs to stop being a wee b***h, go to training, play the damn game, and if they can't make terms...we trade him week 8. Make back the Lance picks.
I get your logic with most other players but a Bosa makes everyone better. They need to do what they have to do to sign him to a long term contract. This team is in a position right now that the lost picks on Lance didn't kill them, thank you Purdy, but Bosa has to be signed.

It's great to be Nick Bosa. Entering the Labor Day holiday weekend now & coming out of it $30M+/yr richer soon enough. Will his brother Joey's % increase over Myles Garrett's contract be the minimum increase over Aaron Donald's with the same agent? $34-35 nmApy? Time wil tell…🌛

I was really hoping this would be done by the end of the work week, bummer. Really hope this doesn't leak into next week. It's prep week :/
if he isn't signed by Monday, I think we can start to worry that he may miss a game.

Not sure how many times I need to say it, so I'll say it again:
TJ Watt signed ~70 hours before the Steelers' season started and he dominated week one on his way to winning DPOY.
We're still 6 days away from being ~70 hours away from the start of the season.

Man, this is lowballing, you aren't gonna pay Bosa, the AAV of Donald?
Highest paid pass rusher @ 6yrs/141mil. I don't see 5/$151 mill low ball'n
It's about the AAV, Donald is 31-32m currently. You are offering $30.2. So you are offering the top D player, not top D player money. I would hope you bump this up, or I am not showing up week 1
Damn...I thought it was about the fully guaranteed money @ 90mil. I'll bump it to 95mil fully guaranteed .
I just don't get how you can offer Bosa less aav than Donald who signed way back when. Contracts over time go up, not down. I feel disrespected by that idea, and I'm not even apart of this negotiation. I feel second hand, disrespected lol.
I think Donald's position on the inside can wreak more damage than a DE. Both are elite and you can argue one over the other. I don't care at this point. Sign the man because in a year he won't be #1 anymore.

Agreed it's kinda silly they haven't come to an agreement by now. I wonder which side is being dumb.

The thing with Donald is, he was actually overpaid on a bloated contract - after being a 3 time Defensive Player Of The Year, etc. All GM's know it was a bloated overpaid contract, and would rather use the T.J. Watt contract as the basis. But of course, all the agent want to use Donald's contract.
I just love when players get interviewed, and it's all "Oh I'm happy to be here, it's all about winning and I just want to win"....until contract time, and now we see the true colors. All the hypocrits should just STFU and stop being interviewed.

When Aaron donald signed his contract he was signed 1 week before the regular season (he was also holding out)
TJ Waat was 2-3 days before
Joey Bosa missed games
This is the norm for these contracts because the closer it gets to the season the more leverage the player has so obviously they have no interest in signing earlier if there intent is to get more money
edit: on Aaron Donald he actually held out in 2017 too where he missed a a game he again held out of all team activities in 2018 and signed a week before week 1

Teams are so stingy. They already know where the #'s will land but force this drama to send a message that it isn't easy to get there. Nick will end up almost exactly where his agent told him he would, but at least this time it isn't spun as him being a diva who's asking the world.
