Good point brother … I see what you are saying
you should be highest paid player at your position and definitely he has earned his money

I am asking .. why does he need to be highest paid non QB
that's what I am wondering

besides .. he could have come in .. supported his team mates and still lobby for his contract, i would respect that
i just can't support a man who goes AWOL and let's his teammates suffer in a potentially superbowl hopeful season

Well that's on the GM for not signing him much sooner. Let's not act like what Bosa is doing is something new from players in this position.

So you believe they just started negotiating? This has been going on awhile. If players just gave in, he would've been signed in early July.

I don't think the Niners should give in and sign Bosa to massive extension and make him the highest paid non-quarterback

1. Not leader type, not an alpha dog.

2. Bosa is great, but very injury risk.

3. Yes he gets lots of sacks, but rarely forces turnovers or causes QB to throw interceptions

4. most of sacks come from good coverage and take several seconds to develop, rarely are they game altering

5. he gets shut down when he faces great offensive tackles. Example remember last year vs lane Johnson (eagles)

6. rarely forces opposite teams to get penalties (false start, holding, personal fouls)

7. not a player that scares the QB. You were scared some DE's / OLB would break your qb in half, I remember Patrick Willis and Bowman knocking out RBs and QBs weekly, Bosa sacks/hits seem to be less impactful

Im not saying we should trade bosa .. nor am I saying we can find someone better. But he needs to be realistic who he is … maybe we should give him incentive based contract and tell him.. hey we will give you 200 million if you can hit these benchmarks

LOL

What a joke of a post 🤡

Probably an Eagle's fan in disguise.

only logical thing lol.

People complaining about a player trying to get as much cash as they can from a billionaire…and that player happens to be our best player, in his prime, who was just determined to be the BEST defensive player in the league and is on track to be a HOFer?

Come on man, if there's any player that gets a blank check it's him.

Lol clearly the NFL didn't think that last yr derp.

people have explained to you why, you're just being ignorant

Agree 💯%. Bosa's main importance is the creating turnovers at the most important times. Clearly this guy's not been watching any 49ers games.
Donald at this point is being paid for past play. They gave him more cash just to not retire. Bosa is in his prime he's 25. It's not rocket science…it's like some one hasn't paid attention to how contracts & the market works.

It's pretty silly
At what point does everyone start getting worried about this contract and Bosa's availability for any of the games this season, or are you already worried?

Yet it seems our front office stalled out the signing past training camp over 4 million dollar quibble. At an ask price that seems pretty reasonable given the pace of player inflation.

Why?

That's why I was asking when the first day of practice was.

If it's tomorrow, then I'll be worried if it's not done by the end of tonight…
Ok supposedly jones wants 28m. So bosa will have to take a number that's modestly above donald. Too bad for bosa but that's how it rolls. Now the lawyers earn their money and figure out how to do this in 48 hours so bosa is in pads tuesday.

There are 2 types of people. Those worried about his availability and liars

Lol I'm pretty sure the guy is a troll but imagine not understanding the game to the point where you think nick bosa isn't that good. Lmao

like I just feel bad for the guy. Lmao imagine waking up everyday and have to be that guy, life must be really hard for him. Hahaha

No matter what the GM offered him, he would still have held out, because he will Always think he can get just a bit more bumping up against a game that counts.

Look, it takes two to make peace, and only one to force a war. Bosa is that one.

Yorks may be billionaires, but they've only got $224.8m they are allowed to spend, and it's all already spent. There are no blank checks in the reality world. It is specious to say the Yorks are billionaires, and it is over the top to say Bosa should get a blank check.

I'm all for making him the highest paid non quarterback of all time. If he insists on more, he's under contract for $17m, and the next two franchise tags are less then what we are offering. He has plenty of incentive to make a deal. Come on Bosa, join the team.

Listening to the radio last night Nick is 6th in sack total production since entering the league. They didn't list the five in front. Yes, I understand he wreaks havoc in other areas. Also was stated we are supposed to write a blank check just because his last name is Bosa and Bosa has a history of holding out back to pops? I'm for more than fair salary, highest ever guaranteed, but I would have to sway towards the 9ers if they are trying to protect long term lookout for other players.

Again, it's the guaranteed money that counts. Not yearly. If they are offering $110m guaranteed that seems more than fair. He may want the entire contract guaranteed. That's getting into iffy numbers if upwards of $150m plus.

Love Nick and they will get it done but 100% behind the 49ers as a team and team cap future projections and not feeding one player.
