That's what I was looking forward to too!! IMAGINE if any one of the guys behind Bosa shows up on the other end. Kerry Hyder by himself IMO is already a solid starting caliber DE in the NFL. He had to play out of position inside a lot last year and Seattle used him inside where he isn't at his best.

We know what we've got in Hyder. The unknown will be what kind of jump can Jackson make? And can Ferrell ball out after coming here? IMAGINE us having stars at every position on the DL. I'M SO HYPED.

I mean we spend the money for it so it's not hard to imagine lol. AA contract, JH contract and now Bosa contract
I have to laugh when I see the other players all saying how happy they are for Bosa. Of course they are. It makes their job easier and raises the chances of making the SB. It also gives their agent ammo for when their contracts come up.

Thats kind of a core to build around

Agree, and most - if not all - of them are frontloaded contracts which I love. It takes balls to do those kinds of things, but the 49er front office has big ones the size of basketballs!

Man, the Drake BETTER produce this year. Definitely going to be the 1 guy that gets overlooked on that line.

Kyle and John have been very vocal about their team-building blueprint. it all starts at the DL. Saleh has also recently stated that this is his blueprint.

Traded to the Raiders for Chandler Jones and Jimmy G

Fleeced them.

He signed a 5 yr 170 mil extension. To my understanding, that's added on to his current contract of 1yr/17mil. So 6yrs 187 is the real number which would be 31.16 mil a yr. so just a little bit less than Aaron Donald contact.
I think his contact replaces this years but the cap hit will still be around the same, 17-18m. JMHO. Haven't seen the whole contract yet.

I think they are barely under the cap right now for this year, and over the cap for next year - so a lot of offseason contract modifications for sure after (hopefully) a successful Super Bowl campaign this season.

Bosa's deal should probably have us with $8M or so in cap space left this year. (His cap hit will most likely be $10M from $17M before the extension). Next year, before Bosa's deal, we were about $20M over the cap. Going to have to do some restructuring and extending, but per AB - it's very doable without losing any of our key players.

I'd settle for Bosa breaking Aldon's sack record!

Bosa's impact extends far beyond just sacks, but with him being adjacent to Hargrave now - I think he will have a chance to bread aldons record. Maybe even 22.5, depending on how we are played.

the key will be for our offense to be high scoring so the other team has to try and keep up, that way we can pin our ears back.

Everyone that said -- trade hem!

Agreed, never wanted him traded, just wanted a fair deal for both sides, glad it's done, said it'd come in around $33M-$35M a yr.
Agree 💯%, looking forward to your next cap analysis as the Bosa Contract resolves.
