trade for Chandler Jones?

That just wouldn't be fair.

After the refs stole our SB... multiple times, I couldn't give two f**ks about playing fair.

Make it happen Lynch, Chandler wants out apparently and we have draft capital.

All in.

Jones sack production

2016-11
2017-17
2018-13
2019-19
2020-1(injured)
2021-10.5
2022-4.5

Even if he's lost a step, putting that guy in constant one on one situations across from Bosa would be absolutely filthy.

No trade. They're going to sign Robbie Gould and reset the K market.

Still a,little confused about the contract. Are we getting any cap relief this year? Heard he's still on year 5. What does that mean.

Most likely lowered his cap hit this year to about $10M, not confirmed yet though.

Yea so so how can the cap be lowered if he's still on the same deal he was before the extension for this year? Spreading the 5-year bonus money into this year shouldn't help right? It would only make things worse for the deal that's already there. What's the actual explanation?

I'm not 100% how it works but my understanding is that they convert some of it into different types of payments, instead of base salary.

we will wait until the details come out, but I'm sure AB can help break it down.

The $50M bonus prorates at $10M a yr from 2023-2027, I have to think Bosa has a minimum salary of $1.08M, plus the $10M proration, meaning a $11.08M cap number for 2023, saving $6.779M, putting them around $7.4M under right now.

wait...I thought rookie deals couldn't be restructured. So they took 17m in 5th year salary and converted to 1.08m + 10m bonus? does the cba allow that?

No, you can, but my thought is that they may have front loaded it for 2023, so we'd go from $30M in cap room to around $13M in cap room, but 2024's cap number could be as low as $12M.

ok. Interesting. Cuz williams is up to 30m next year and kittle 20m. Plus we have aiyuk to sign.

Something has to give next year. Too happy to be be doom yet but my early prediction will be Deb is traded to offload contract and get a couple of valuable picks. It's an unpopular prediction I know but in my opinion CMC and Brandon cancel out Deb IF PUSH comes to shove to make room.

But that's then. Let's have a year. I'm jacked to see Brock an entire season with no QB drama for an entire season.
I don't wanna hear the stupid narrative of the niners being cheap ever again
Nicks mom was on local radio today. They did a replay tonight when I was out so got to hear a repeat. Whoa they are involved in all things Nick. Mom and pops were there at every turn the last weeks with discussions with agent and Nick. She said total stress the last week. Moments where they had to bring the thought in what if somewhere else but glad it's done.

Shes also glad to see him here as his daily routine every day is cardio with dad morning. Then to moms house she cooks daily. 5 egg omelets with two additional egg whites, ton of onions and other veggies. Then with dad back for lifts. Then back to mom for dinner each night. Tonight's celebration was a big steak, duck breasts, veggies. She said she bought a bottle of champagne but he declined. Then on to the jet for Santa Clara. She said no more cooking! Yeah.

She said he is in great shape of course. Maybe better than last year.

But yeah, there could be a reality show Hanging with the Bosa's. They helped drive all of this to completion.

I think that people need to ease up on the trade Deebo talk. He has been a cornerstone of the offense. I see what everyone can see in Aiyuk, but he still needs to go out on the field and do it. People seem to be obsessed with the traditional wr mold and hold that against players like Deebo. I hear what people are saying about McCaffrey and Deebo. There is overlap, but let's see what that looks like. Sometimes you have to just max out on what your good at. The offense works. With enough at bats Shanny will bring us a Superbowl. Honestly it's a shame if he retires without multiple rings. We have a SQUAD. This team is oozing talent, from the random 5th rounder becoming All Pro to THE best and now highest paid defensive player in the NFL. I think being top heavy is fine for a few years if we can manage it that long.

I'm no cap expert, but I think it's more likely the team moves on from Armstead and Juice ( with post June 1 designations) after this season. Those move coupled with extensions for Ward and Aiyuk could save close to 40m

ARMSTEAD was always a waste, Juice is overpaid because we can't use him the way we should be using him..

yup, no expert. We can keep this team together and add.

We got 19 mill coming off the books as we are no longer paying for Ford, J Ward, Alex Mack and part of Lance's dead cap.

Letting Kinlaw go frees up another 5 mil.

The cap also increases. So it's not entirely the end of the world

Armstead is really good, actually

Armstead has been a damn good player for us and he's a great human being. Not everybody is gonna have a career like Bosa. I do think the team would be better with Aiyuk if that's the choice though. With Hargrave and Bosa that D-line is nasty regardless of who is filling in the other slots. We might as well keep churning rookies until one sticks.
