It may also get the TV cameras to make an issue out of it?
Here's my take. Those in control of the NFL have done absolutely ZERO for the defensive side of the ball. EVERYTHING is for the offense?
Almost every rule change is done to help the offense because they've determined more scoring increases the popularity of the sport which they are trying to grow internationally.
So if the refs call more holding penalties, it stifles the scoring.

That Ravens Kickoff return was atrocious. Our FB Bruce had his shoulder pads showing and jersey pulled up like a hockey player in a fight. Getting mugged by 2 guys. Inexcusable
We may have 7 SBs if the refs just got those 2 ridiculously easy calls right.

Bro had game winning play in the Superbowl if he went straight for Mahomed on the RPO in OT on fourth down.
Instead he broke contain and went for the RB leaving a gaping hole that led KC to a first and then a victory. He's bit on fakes all year. Needs to work on that discipline.
