Instead he broke contain and went for the RB leaving a gaping hole that led KC to a first and then a victory. He's bit on fakes all year. Needs to work on that discipline.

Agree his discipline setting the edge hasn't been great, guesses too much

Yeah romo called that out as well. Biggest play and he bit hard.

Yup. That would have been a legendary stuff.
Sucks that one play is being discussed where he didn't come through, but the guy played a pretty awesome game today overall. But he basically proved that the Era of the Edge Rusher is over. The league simply does not want them touching the QBs. The only time they are allowed to impact a playoff game is when the opposing OL misses an assignment and can't hold them.

He's been doing it all year. Losing contain trying to make a big play. It's like when klay thompson keep shooting those 3s thinking it's going in he will make a play from time to time but more often than not it's a big outside run.
He played much better last night than in recent history but he is a liability on run defense and teams know it.

It's easy to say this but of what makes KC's offense so good is misdirection like this. It's not like they're running RPOs all day. The keep these tricks in their bag for critical moments. Just like the game-winning TD pass too. The disguised it with common pre-snap motion they use all the time, and them bam, they sprinkle in something different. They reasons these plays work is because they're preying on defensive players falling for patterns. So much of being a good defensive player is recognizing patterns and trends to help anticipate what's going to happen.

He definitely got burned, but it's hard to fault him imo.
I wonder if we get more of the 2021 - 2022 Bosa next season.

He is the highest paid non QB in the league and he held out for that contract. He should be scrutinized especially for his continual misreads and lack of discipline on setting the edge and maintain lanes. He gets paid to defend that play in that circumstance against a 4th and 1 with the game on line and he got his ass handed to him. Mahomes ran for alot not just just 1.5 yards.

What's crazy if romo is right at what he hinted.... If bosa just goes after Mahomes he most likely stops him and wins us the championship. Incredible how unforgiving football is lol

People don't want to mention that or Brock missing Deebo in the endzone, and yes I know he was pressured, because they are two of the favorites (Bosa and Brock)

I blame OL for that miss to Deebo.

agreed but Brock missed because he was hit. This wasn't anything like jimmy g having a perfect pocket to throw and missing sanders.

Sucks but there's only so much he can do. Could he have played better? Sure. But imo is the least of our problems. I think the pressure all playoffs got to him a little. Hopefully he gets a better line and grows from the experience.
ya brock was not only throwing off his back foot, but his whole body was leaning backwards. another half second of time to throw off a proper platform and that's 6

For sure. My point is just that people are not talking about those two plays because of the players involved
