They were doubling him almost every down.

Agree. Guy was even seeing doubles with a chip & triple teams. Just crazy
He's really fantastic and playing well.
Great in coverage today

I wouldn't call that a "2 sack" game... Darnold literally ghosted him self into that sack... and that is one of the reasons why I feel our defense gets overrated at times... the stat looks right but a look at it reveals something else.... just like last week we didn't stop Rodgers on that first drive... Lazard just dropped an easy catch for a 1st down.... these things I feel always catch up to us.

Pretty accurate statement. Overall the pass rush is extremely underwhelming.

I mean we gave a 97 yard TD with a pass out of the end zone. Pass rush was non existent

Agree
I know he had two sacks but he needs to impact games more. Many times he isnt noticeable applying pressure. Especially when we need a big stop late.

It's because he's getting double or even triple teamed consistently.

Floyd and YGM need to take advantage of that s**t. They faced off vs one of the best OTs groups in the league last week as well.

this upcoming week should be much different.

Im not knocking Bosa, he's as elite as they come.. but I constantly see TJ Watt beating double teams, and wrecking games.. how does he do it? Honest question. Yes I know they both have 2 sacks on the season, but it just seems like he gets pressure almost every rush

Watt is a straight up monster. His get off and timing is elite. Honestly when I see his highlights it's mostly one on one stuff though. No hate, he's one of if not the best edge in football.

I don't watch Pitt enough, but I feel like their scheme isn't as vanilla as ours. We just run a bunch of 4 man rushes and expect them to win consistently.

I will say imo their DL is better too. Heyward is still a game wrecker in the middle. Alex Highsmith is underrated as well. They have some quality depth.

End of the day Watt might just better than Bosa and that's okay.

Yeah I think people forget that drawing double/triple teams is arguably the most important job of your #1 edge rusher. Sometimes it's not all about just sacks despite my post earlier.

All this and imagine bosa being doubled and chipped, but the other three lineman can't beat their guy 1v1.

Bosa is awesome and a hell of a player but probably the 3rd best DE in the league. He's just not as disruptive as Watt or Garrett.

I also see other top edge rushers getting double teamed every week. Crosby . Watt. Any top edge rusher is usually double teamed. The thing I see with Bosa is he has more trouble getting by these guys than some others. He relies a lot on power rather than quickness. I was watching Will Anderson last week. He was leaving his guy in the dust with his quick moves. I still want to see more push from the middle. Bosa continues to play at a high level but there are others that consistently apply more pressure
