Maybe other people already heard this but the reason Bosa didn't really manage to sack Mayfield on that 4th and 7 ahold of his arm is he was afraid of getting called for a horse collar tackle if he grabbed his shoulder pad, trying to yank down. I'm sure I was thinking the same thing so many others were, why the hell isn't he sacking him already. Well the whole process of doing that and avoid a penalty isn't that simple. I thought all in all he actually played quite a courageous game. Playing through constant pain the whole time.

that or a hip drop....

he was frozen by the new ever changing rules.

I mean watch the video, he isn't frozen. He's holding baker's arm like a f**king child.

99 out of 100 times that throw from that position is incomplete or picked. Baker had nowhere to go and from that spot couldn't set his feet to make a throw. We could ask how the defense behind Bosa allowed someone to free up for a completion?

His sack and pressure production has gone down in the last 3 years from 18.5, 10.5 to 5.5 today. He had zero pressures in the game against the Bucs so unless he's hurt he's been awful.

Comparing 2 full seasons to 9 games is somrthing else.. Also did you watch the Bucs game? Did you see how quickly they got the ball off? Nobody would have got pressure under those circumstances.

They basically ran 90% of their passes as screens, I don't blame him

I agree that the completion given up was much more embarrassing. They should've been ready to intercept that knowing Baker had next to no options.
Why didn't he pull down his arm and drop his body weight?

He also could've literally shoved him oob

This i agree with. Idk wtf he was thinking there. PULL HIM DOWN BY HIS ARM.

I was more disappointed our DB gave up the competition.
I find it funny that Bosa told Baker a year ago about how theres no horsecollar in the pocket and then this year Baker took him on a ride outside the pocket.
He didn't want to destroy the QB's shoulder. This isn't a video game.
It's amazing the amount of excuses being made for him in this thread for the missed sack on Baker Mayfield. The same guys probably celebrating a sack on 3rd and 13 against a backup tackle like it was some great accomplishment.

He got paid and hasn't been the same since. His development is low-key one of the most disappointing on the team, we all thought he'd be a perennial DPOY candidate and he's just not. He's not even All Pro level rn. TJ watt so much better.

Sacks:
6.5 Watt
5.5 Bosa

Pressures:
27 - Bosa
18 - Watt

Hurries
11 - Bosa
1 - Watt

Weird how Watt is so much better. I'm a big fan of Watt too.

People just say sh*t to say it sometimes. Not like today you can't easily check on this stuff.

He's celebrating a sack like anyone else.

The guy was playing hurt and in an awkward position. Sometimes you tip your hat to the QB for making a great play.

I think he didn't pull him down by his arm because he knows that's Bush league and could have seriously hurt him.

It was just super random/lucky but awesome play from Mayfield.

You're making excuses and using conjecture and speculation when it is clear Bosa got out muscled by a smaller, weaker player.

Bosa should have been at the dudes legs but he's a dips**t who only knows how to powerrush.
