Man I really thought we had a consistent 20+ sack per year guy. I still think he can get back to form next year, but yea I agree with Baldy. Maybe it's that wide 9 BS, poor D coordinator/scheme, no help, etc He still needs to show up. He kind of fades with the rest of the team when things are going bad

Who in the history of the game was a consistent 20 sack per year guy? Prime JJ Watt didn't do that. Neither did Reggie White, Bruce Taylor, or LT. I saw an interesting stat. TJ Watt has 1 sack in 5 playoff appearances. Bosa had 6.5 in his first 5. Two in his last 5.

With that said, I do agree Bosa has had two underwhelming seasons based on his contract. He's paid for 2021-2022 production. We've gotten production that would be a acceptable for a top 10-15 guy, not a top 3-5 guy.

He's literally the highest paid DLineman in the NFL today and that's why his current production is not acceptable. Not expecting 20 sacks in a season but he's got to at least hit double digits year in year out with the money we're shelling out and with his impact on the Salary Cap preventing us from signing other F/A"s.. Expectancy is to match a Miles Garrett season to season and not be overpaid and produce less than a top 3 guy like Garrett has been his entire career.

I said he's had two underwhelming seasons based on his contract. 2025 will reveal a lot because dude was a monster, in the regular season and playoffs for 4 years. We'll see what he does. Hopefully the get the DC pick right and get some IDL. If they do both, Bosa will have no excuse.

Wait until Brock throws his first INT next year after his new deal, it's going to be brutal

which will still be louder than the cheers for all the TDs and games prior to that combined

Would it be great if we gave Nick Bosa some more support on the D line.

Look at the Rams and their 8 sacks tonight.

Man, they had bodies coming from everywhere.

don't need more support, just need to play darnold every game
Man, if I remember Darnold beat us this year.

We had 4 sacks for the game, Nick had 2, Fred 1 and Givens 1.

We need more help for Nick.

He and Fred are literally carrying the D.

Sure. Trade Bosa and his bloated salary and get some motive hungry players. Could probably get 3 very good DL for the price of Bosa.

Why would you trade the only elite player on the DL? Bosa by just about every metric was still one of the best edge rushers in football. He's still producing pressure, the talent around him has just declined substantially.

They went from Bosa, Buckner, Armstead, DJ Jones, Dee Ford to....

Both great players, but Fred is a better LB than Nick is an end.

Fans don't truly grasp or appreciate how good Fred is. Dude is f**king incredible at anticipating and eliminating route combos, carrying wide receivers and overall just eliminating the middle of the field. Fred is a first-ballot HOFer. Then you factor in the leadership, character, work ethic, and you've got culmination of a player that every GM dreams of drafting.

All facts Hero. I don't blame the average fan though; a lot of what he's doing on a down by down basis is not seen on the broadcast. When you watch the All-22, it's a thing of beauty when as you said, he eliminates the middle of the field. His presence alone, you can see QBs hesitate on testing him, and I don't blame them.

What he's doing in coverage; I honestly can't say that I have ever seen a Mike do, year in year out down in down out. That said; I also can't say that I watch every LB on every team over the years on the All-22, I obviously only watch our Niners.

we all know why Bosa is hated by some. I don't see the point in arguing anymore. If you watch Bosa you see he gets consistent pressure and the pressure stats back it up as he's one of the top players in the league. If he's not getting pressured he's getting chipped by the RB or TE which forces the offense to account for him at all times. No bigger compliment can be made when the opposing team's gameplan is to have the OT and a back block you. and to top it off he played injured the 2nd half of the season.

Kinda weird how some of the folks in here said TJ Watt is so much better but have been awful silent since he didn't even record a pressure in the Steelers playoff game. YIKES!!!!
