I think Joey makes sense on the current direction of the team as long as he doesn't want anything lucrative or lengthy. I expect the 49ers to do the same thing they did last year, and pick up a few short-term, team-friendly vet signings/trades while focusing on building the bulk of the team through the draft.

He probably want too much. 2 years at 6-10/year would be okay. Anything more and we should just pass.

The 49ers front office might not see it the same way you do.
It doesn't even make sense to pick him up after FA and the draft if they plan on going after him. There isn't a financial or roster advantage in waiting.

He's missed more than half the games over the last 3 years. He's not available more than half of the time.

I wouldn't mind Joey but if they are willing to pay Joey Bosa $15 Million or so, Just pay Greenlaw instead who I think is more valuable for the Niners.
