This team fell apart so fast in 13 months. I figured the Super Bowl loss was the end of it but I did not expect it to fall apart THIS quickly. My goodness.

Maybe.
On the other hand:
Myles Garret said he wanted to go to a contender - took the money
Maxx Crosby said he wanted to go to a contender - took the money
etc., etc., etc.

Yeah, these players don't have many years of earning power so they have to get it while they can. It's business on both sides.

With what thye get paid now they only need 2 or 3 years and they're set for the rest of their life if they don't get stupid. They can still get a job like normal people.

Joey's deal is only for 1 year, after another injury prone year, we'll sign him for half of what he got the following season.

He gets injured again and I wouldn't even sign him for 6 million. Close to vet min with lots of incentives.
The bosas always take the money. You knew he would.

There is no way the bosa pool was going to be 50 million. 45 was top of the line and it sounds like we offered right about that.

Has been pass rushers aren't worth more than 5-10 million a year. That's the rate for all of them.

Trey goes against our current agenda of younger and cheaper… and he would cost draft picks.
As much as I'd like to have the brothers play together, can you imagine what happens if Joey had a crap year and we dump him? Think Nick will still be about that 9er life?

So does Jonathan Weeks!!!

I know the 9ers aren't gonna trade for him, he's way outta the price range which is $3 million. Lol

No more 30 year old expensive as f**k free agents (or in treys case, trade AND $$)

Well we've tried practically everything, trade for an established guy (Dee Ford), draft one (Drake Jackson) pick up guys in FA (Omenihu, Floyd, Gross Matos). None have worked, we seem to have a disconnect between what we think we want vs what works for us.

Is this a Lynch problem? A Kocurek problem? A DC problem? Whatever it is we need it figured out.

Playing opposite Bosa should be one of the easiest jobs in football, you never get chipped and the line never slides towards you. To be fair you usually have to deal with LT's, but it is just them.

I thought Bosa was effective without being great last year, he got a lot of attention, which he usually does, but no one else was winning when left alone. Getting one more lineman that does will get us back to good, finding two and we'll be great. We need to get back to pick your poison. Death by Bosa, or death by the rest of the line when you focus on Bosa.

Drafting for us has been more about luck than skill.

How so? Every team has hits and misses. We value certain traits in certain positions. I don't see why that's luck
