He can't even get through training camp and preseason. Don't count on him playing lots of games. He's hurt already. Talent doesn't if you can't play.

He won't be able to fake it. The training staff will ask him to do their baseline agility tests — which they already know how he times when healthy. They will know.

My guess is also week 3 but it's obviously just a guess at this point. Let him stay in Santa Clara for the two road games and be ready to roll against Pittsburgh, then a week off to see how the ankle is and full steam ahead after that
