Good news on Nick.

That's good news, but until he actually returns to practice without restriction, the talk is mostly meaningless. There is absolutely no benefit for us to tell Tampa Bay that he's out for the game until we have to. It's good news in the sense that it doesn't sound like he's had any setbacks, but I won't believe he's actually going to play until he's back at practice.

The fact that Lynch is so transparent about this s**t (look at Mckinnon) this is good new and meaningful. He could have said McKinnon is doing well just as easy and didn't. Same with Hurd

Not really. There's no point to him exaggerating or lying with the season a week away. If these dudes were "doing well" and didn't play week one that'd be a pretty bad look.

Why not sit Bosa till the bye week? They still have Dee Ford. Then unleash Bosa on the Browns.

Why sit a very good player if he's healthy enough to play? Sure you don't want a setback but if they think he's ready and he says he's ready(remember how Bosa's don't play unless they're 100% )

Guys can get injured any game. If he's good enough to play then let him play. No reason to wrap him in bubble wrap the rest of the season. If he gets hurt again then he gets hurt again.

And if he reinjures the same ankle against the Bucs? It's not about being healthy enough to play. It's about being patient enough to ensure that he is fully recovered from his sprain before sending him out there. We don't want another Breida situation like last year.

This is true, but my point is mostly that what Lynch says about his recovery is mostly meaningless when we'll know as soon as Monday or Tuesday (whenever they practice next) whether he's actually likely to play.

I think we all know the answer to this question.

Doesn't fit your he'll be out till week 5 narrative

It's not a narrative, it's just my opinion based on the limited amount of information that we have. Until he is a full participant in practice, I don't see any reason to change that opinion. Not being ready until week 5 is really only a difference in 2 weeks of recovery time from being ready for week 1, so it's not like the timeline changes dramatically.

Because of all this bad injury news, I hope they don't rush Bosa back to soon to compensate.

I think it's up to the training staff. The way they've been much more cautious this offseason. I really doubt they rush him back if he's not ready.
