I saw a stat this morning that only 33.8% of all players saw action in every game last year. The rest either were injured, on the practice squad, inactive or never got on the field. I thought that was a really high number. Of the other 66% I'm not sure how many were injured or how many just never got activated. It shows how hard it is to actually be good enough and healthy enough to make it on the field every week.

Wow didn't realize 66.2% of the league is injury prone.

Some of that 66% were guys that were inactive, like the backup QB or just a reserve player that never got in the game. I'm pretty sure a fair number were injured for at least one game. With the new concussion protocol a lot of players are held out for at least one game when in the old days they would have played.
hopeful he doesn't go the way of andrew luck he's been through a lot

Ah ok. So the 66.2% includes injury prone players, inactive prone players, and backup prone players.

TBH - I'll be happy to see the following
1) make it through a week of practice w/out getting injured. I don't believe that has happened yet
2) play in a game
3) show some impact
4) get a sack

Sad, that its come to that w/ Bosa.

SMDH. It hasn't "come to that" with Bosa. No one cares about the preseasons or TC. Just the regular season games. How many of those has he missed? How many regular season games has he failed to show an impact in? How many regular season games has he failed to get a sack?

If you're not producing in preseason how can you produce in the regular season?

They're not correlated. Do you have the same concerns about Dee Ford? Or any other player in the NFL who didn't play in preseason?

Of course. Preseason is basically the regular season minor leagues. You have to start there or you have no chance of making it in the major leagues. I've never seen a player miss preseason and then have a successful season. It just can't be done.

Why do you persist in bringing facts into this forum?

In his defense I think he's referring to rookies missing preseason (hence make it to majors comment), which may also be wrong

No, he meant anyone. He was asked, "Do you have the same concerns about Dee Ford? Or any other player in the NFL who didn't play in preseason?"

His response, "of course"
