Excellent first game as a Pro!

You could tell early on he was worried about it. He figured it out in the second half. No question though, if he's playing at 100% he's got at least 2 if not 3 sacks on the stat sheet and a few more pressures.

He's a smart kid in terms of pass rushers, having Winston juke him out of his ankle may be a lesson that he gets out of the way nice and early and it didn't cost us anything.

Young man hasn't played a game since Sept of last year. Not a preseason game to get some of the rust off. Looks like he was on skates early in the game with an ankle injury that hasn't completely healed. But dudes!! Guy is just a natural and got better as the game wore on. I'm sure he's stamina is not there either. As he gets more games under his belt and stay relatively healthy,.. watch out.! A sack and a few hurries after year lay off . The pass rush group made Winston uncomfortable and certainly made the secondary look good didn't it. Not a bad first game rookie

When this guy gets fully healthy he's going to destroy T's, G's and QB's by default. He's already off to a great start against a good OL that was playing their asses off at home.

Seifert comes to mind in the '94 super bowl. He had Deion and a couple of has-been pass rushers. But early in his career, he had Fred Dean and Charles Haley in their prime.

They rotated the line that year, and won a whole ton of time of possession. I think that defense only had 260?(i could be wrong on that but it was a historically low defensive snap count) snaps to work with and ended up 37 sacks. The 2014 Super Bowl team ended with 38.

That was old Tim Harris's last ride. He was added late in the season and dominated the playoffs. He was the ole pass rusher on speed dial the team called up late in every season it seems. That 3 game play off run he had 7 sacks but lost one do to holding in the secondary. In the last 4 games of that season (regular season+ playoffs and Super Bowl) he had 9 sacks. In our crucial playoff game against Dallas, he ended with 7 hurries and 2 sacks. We all know we crushed them in the first 10 mins of that game, but Harris was a big part of keeping the comeback from happening. Of the 49ers I have met personally he was one of my favorite ( Amp Lee was fun as hell too I got to party with him).
What I loved was that he was the first guy to go to Alexander when he got elected. Thats something you don't teach, especially as a rookie. Thats what you expect from your vet leaders.

Member when everyone was talking about him being a potential issue in the locker room?

Well just like at Ohio State, hes becoming one of the most well respected players on the team. Showing you can have political differences and still be liked by your peers.

I don't think he looked slower , it's more that NFL O linemen are quicker or they wouldn't be in the league. Bosa will be fine. Instincts and motor are more important than just speed. Remember Justin Smith. Very similar type players but Bosa is a little smaller and quicker. The thing I noticed is how he was always around the ball or trailing the play. That really worked out as Ford chased Winston toward him.

I think people just keep confusing Nick and Juice.

He looked off early on, he'd make the move around the tackle but kept getting pushed down. Looked like he didn't trust his ankle that much early on.

He looked at an elite NFL player.

People called this, his draft thread was full of people that said he was NFL ready day 1.

I was not one of them, I suspected he was the right pick, but I didn't expect him to come out the gate winning so many downs. After rewatching the game... his final 10 snaps or so looked darn good if his name was Reggie White or Bruce Smith.

Some one could say... hey small sample size... but lol... that does not make those snaps disappear.

I don't know how anyone could be a 49er fan and not feel really positive about Bosa right now.

People really celebrating almost sacks?

That "almost sack" sealed the game with the spoon INT.
