FYI to Quinnen William's fans - the Jets lost.

Unfortunately Quinnen got hurt as well...just goes to the point that injuries can happen to ANYONE, regardless of history.

However QW is an awesome person and I wish him a lot of success as long as it's not at our expense. I think both franchises can be incredibly happy with their selections.

I do get your point...we'll always have those select few who monitor the other choices closely to try to discredit our selection.

They're silent now...or if they're not they post embarrassing posts about how other "have their day" since apparently seeing our first round pick play well in a win is somehow a bad thing for any 49ers fan.

This dude is a monster and was blowing the guy several feet off the line regularly. You could clearly see his ankle isn't 100%, which is absolutely terrifying if your the opposing guy. I was good with Williams or Allen in the draft but it's clear as day why this, guy was the undisputed first pick. Murray I think was a reach, Bosa was clearly the guy.

Now imagine if his ankle is 100% healthy and he stops blowing guys and concentrates on playing defense the whole game?

Yeah I wasn't gonna post it BUT...
In New York's 17-16 Week 1 loss to the Bills, Jets rookie defensive tackle Quinnen Williams went down with a left ankle injury and was seen leaving MetLife Stadium in a walking boot.

aw hell....he already found the ignore button..........
btw to the "missed sacks not being anything to get excited about"

From someone who knows a thing or two about defense.

Originally posted by Bill Belichick:

"I think if you look at the overall passing game, the statistic that stands out the most in terms of correlation is pressure. So pressure on the quarterback leads to more bad plays than sacks do, in terms of turnovers unless you have strip sacks, obviously. That's the No. 1. After that, pressures cause bad throws and potentially turnovers."

Belichick noted that the pass rush comes down to team defense, tethering the production of the pass rush to the quality of coverage and vice versa. But his note about focusing on strip sacks and pressure while devaluing sacks is a unique insight. Sacks make players money, but they may not be tied to winning football games. Winning the turnover differential is an enormous part of winning football games. The Los Angeles Rams (+11), New Orleans Saints (+8), Chicago Bears (+14) are in the top five in turnover differential. The Patriots are in the top 10 at +5, a number which is improving as Tom Brady hasn't thrown an interception since Week 7.

So if pressures are tied to turnovers and turnovers are tied to wins, then Belichick's emphasis on pressures follow his cliche: "We do what's best for the team to win games."

Don't make fun of Gary guys. PFF has him graded as the Packers third best defender.

You can only grade them from when they're on the field.

Their grades are all over the place. They gave Kwon a 39 or something like that. Punishing guys for a penalty that much makes no sense to me.

That's fair. In Gary's case I think he had a big pressure that led to a pick in one of his measley 2 snaps. You just have to his grade in context. They only trusted him on a few plays.
