having him rest is ok with me. Dude can ball when healthy.

is there any concern that he re-aggravated the ankle on Sunday and might be out this next Sunday?

Nope

The only cure for his injury is rest and that is a costly cure if we want to maintain a quality pass rush

The only silver lining to an early bye week is the rest Bosa can get for this injury. Just need o get to that week not making it worse.

Same here.

His resting didn't hurt his play against the Buc.

Resting him this week wouldn't make sense. Next week, given the bye, makes far more sense. He will need a full two weeks to stay off that ankle and let it heal.

He has a very real risk of re-injury right now. Not just soreness — setting it back to square one like in August. Being a tough guy won't stop a partially torn ligament from snapping.

Hopefully they're just letting him get as healthy as possible before playing him but a rookie missing practice isn't ideal so we'll see if he ends up playing or not. It's clear we need him but we probably need him more for the Steelers.

Bengals aren't a cakewalk. Need everything we got.
It won't be a good look for our coaching and training staff if Bosa ends up missing this game. They might regret pushing him to play so many snaps in game one.

His pressure was a key reason for the win...they won't get any heat for playing him.

They just said he "reaggravated" the injury. Which means it got worse. Didn't think it made sense to hold him out of Cincy if it was just continual soreness. But a reaggrevation suggests he should sit. And probably Pittsburg too.

People are forgetting -- it is VERY easy for him to miss ANOTHER 4-6 weeks right now. The ankle isn't healed. He can very easily reinjure it. Bosa "toughing this out" isn't helping and it may make the team worse in the long run should he continue to shred the ligaments.
Jimmie bosa still not practicing ?
