Last thing I want to see is a torn ankle ligament or even worse - I don't want to see another mis-diagnosis of a star player. Buuuuuummmmmmeeerrrrr!

Well the ligament is already torn. It's better than the day he injured it...but still torn. That's why it's so easy to reinjure it. It's like a frayed rubber band. It's not structurally sound...so all the other ligaments in the area have do extra work just to keep him on two feet, let alone play at a high level.

It's Thursday and that ankle still hasn't calmed down - I seriously think he misses the game.

Looking that way

It won't be a good look for our coaching and training staff if Bosa ends up missing this game.

They just said he "reaggravated" the injury. Which means it got worse. Didn't think it made sense to hold him out of Cincy if it was just continual soreness. But a reaggrevation suggests he should sit. And probably Pittsburg too.

People are forgetting -- it is VERY easy for him to miss ANOTHER 4-6 weeks right now. The ankle isn't healed. He can very easily reinjure it. Bosa "toughing this out" isn't helping and it may make the team worse in the long run should he continue to shred the ligaments.

That's my point though. It doesn't reflect well on the training and coaching staff if he aggrivated the ankle injury due to being rushed back too soon.

Maybe. But to be fair -- they could have recommended he sit. I believe they only have 100% authority on head trauma.

He's practicing mentally. Does that count?

Sit him. We need to figure out who our next best ER is anyway. Offense will have to step up for us to get a dub.

Well, that's easy to figure out given there's only 1 ER on the roster besides Nick Bosa lol.

Yeah. I guess one is better than the none we used to have

Same injury.

They had another one on the roster, but for whatever reason, they moved him inside. He also appeared to have bulked up for the transition inside.

What they should've done is asked Street to stay at edge and trim down to improve his athleticism and take a little bit of the load off that knee.

Good point, and if he constantly re-tears it, I'm assuming scar tissue can build up and block arteries and veins and so on from delivering whatever is needed for the ankle and you can cut his career short? I dunno. I just don't like the fact that ShanaLynch is pushing it too much because we don't have any legit edge rushers other than Dee Ford and Bosa. Dee Ford already has tendinitis (or whatever) in his knee in addition to the Bosa ankle. I would have loved to see us get a UDFA like Demontre back on the team, but that's not an option anymore.

I can see another McKinnon type of season-ending injury if they push it too much.

Nah, this likely won't be a chronic issue once healed. High ankles and knees are different beasts. Bosa just stands no chance of getting over it completely, without risk of reinjury, until he sits for a couple weeks.
