I can easily see both sides. I definitely want him to be healthy but the staff and FO are under pressure to win this year. Everybody said there's no more excuses anymore and now they're trying to make sure they win by having one of their best players play. And we prob need to rack up wins now if we can because our schedule only gets tougher as we go.

It is what it is. I'll just be praying he doesn't make it worse.

Yeah he will get maintenance days throughout the week and be on snap counts early in the yr....is what it is, you can't sit around waiting for everyone to be 100% before you play them.

If he was at the point where he couldn't protect himself or wasn't effective on the field they wouldn't play him.

Well maintenance days are better than no rest, that's for sure.

I think knee, Achillies, head, and ankle injuries have to be treated differently than other typical injuries.

For example, head injuries, for a QB, achillies for Wr's and RB's, Ankle injuries for pass rushers - because that's how they make their money. If Bosa was an OT and turned an ankle, it wouldn't bother me as much. But an ankle injury on a pass rusher is like a head injury or a rotator cuff injury for a QB. Those things can affect his future and the future of the entire team.

Every body part is important. but the knee, is important in change of directions, for example, in a running back. Certain injuries dont affect a player as much as other injuries- depending on their position.

A rotator cuff injury on a linebacker wont affect him as much as a rotator cuff on a QBs throwing arm. Is another example.

I know it's not the same kind of injury as Bosa's, but the danger for Bosa and the 49ers is losing a dynasty franchise level player in the future just to play him for a couple of games. In my view I wouldn't play him until that reinjury risk is way down below what it is now.

This is not the same thing. And Willis definitely could've kept playing but decided he didn't want to play at less than 100%.

This is more of a pain management situation. If Bosa feels ok to play then play him. He could sit out, get 100% healthy then have his foot ran over by a bus crossing the street for all we know.

Stand up, plant your foot like you are going to make a cut. Your ankle takes way more strain than you realize.

I think an ankle injury is bad for any player...everyone is moving around.

We only got 15 more games...it's not basketball where they can sit out a while and it doesn't destroy the season.

This win could literally be the difference between making or not making the playoffs. As long as he can go and be effective, he's gotta play and you know me I'm the best Bosa fan in here and want him healthy
Anyone find it ironic that one of the knocks on Nick and Bosa's as a family is that they don't play unless they're 100% healthy and here we are arguing if it's smarter to sit him out while he's hoping to play less than 100%?

People are arguing to sit him because they are concerned he's going to cause further damage to the ankle...which is valid

One of two things will happen if the 49ers keep running him out there:

1. He will play through the injury. The ankle will get better.
2. He will get so badly injured by playing on the bum ankle that he will be lost for the season.

Here's hoping for Number 1!!!
