I loved QW, but i liked Nicky B a whole lot more, especially when we already had 9 DTs(or is it 10) and NO DEs. Man i wanted Nick bad and thank God for Kyler Murray and KK at AZ. They not only bailed us out they made us one hot azz D. The trade for Dee with KC, probably was based on questionable knee issues, but JL took a chance. If he can't practice during week but play on weekends, so be it.

Watch Dee in a 3 point, and you see with each call of the count he is up on his toes, just shaking, waiting for take off. The guy is absolutely amazing. But with him on one side and Nick on the other, Buck in the center with ....ARIK...that is one hot DL. Having Kwon shutting down passés across the middle, and K''wan being the best slot corner on PFF, hasn't hurt either.

So in sum, JL did a spectacular talent round up and we just have to play around the injuries. Better that than healthy guys who were barely starters. A+++ to GM John. As for QW, he would have made for a raucous middle with DeFo. The problem was teams would just run around us, not thru us.

Nope, it was Nicky B all the way for me and QW was a great player, but just didn't fit in with 9 other interior DTs .
I wish him well and good health, but am glad we got Nick.

Would have rather taken Ed Oliver than QW. My personal opinion is Oliver will be better. We needed edge rushers and although I really like Allen you can't pass up on Bosa. He's elite talent and playing through injury and still being really really disrupitive. Bosa is a beast.

JD , i swear i watched every play but never did i notice Nick take on and destroy 3 guys at once, leaving the way open for his teammates and the fumble. Dayaaaanng....that guy is one tuff mutha. And he isn't strong...he is brutally strong and QUICK. 3 guys....steeler guys....sheesh.

Thanks for the vid...a classic. Somehow this should be posted on a "best plays of the yr" site...with your voice over. I really, really liked him and wanted him bad....now i want him even more. The guy is just a giant ox dressed up in a 9ers uniform with a jet pack on his back...and moves like a ballerina.

^^^good point Qnn, didnt' think of that. Nick's efforts in AZ would be lost on everybody. He just happened to be on the team that needed him most, wanted him most, and maybe unknown to him, was situated to take a big swing at playing in the playoffs. We'll see, it's early, but dayammmmm, this team looks hungry and they want it worse than the opponents. This team has gelled, the guys play for one another...it is finally that TEAM we have been waiting for for the last 20 yrs.

And don't think i don' t recognize the fact we have the best OC in the game, and a GM who has taken his share of abuse, but has done one masterful job of putting this team together. Even the Saleh move is paying dividends now that he has a real DL and DB coach out there, both of which are terriific.

I can't imagine Nick in AZ. Here he has the world at his fingertips, and all the goodies that go with it. He landed on a team that just needed a little push, and that was 2 DEs. Plus Kwon, and then Deebo and Hurd(who hasn't even seen the field yet). Add in Kwan who is #1 slot corner in PFF, and Warner who is always around the ball, uncle sherm, et al, plus that OL who has worked together now 1 yr....huge difference, even minus Joe, and Nick could not have ended up in a better situation anywhere....and don't think he doesn't realize that and count his lucky stars.
