He was out there looking like Uncle Sherm with his coverage skills VS Cook.

Curious, what's Bosa's madden OVR? If I remember, it was 79 to start the season. Gotta be low 90's right?!

Is there another Rookie of the Year? Or is this the only voting body?

It's hard to keep track of them. They're as bad as the bowl games. Everyone that makes anything has a bowl game. Same for awards. Companies like to attach their name to stuff and awards are no different. You know, like the official drink of the NFL or the official socks. Crap like that.

PFWA picks their awards, but the AP is generally considered the official award.

The last time a defensive player won this award was 1991! Granted, from 92-2012 they stopped giving overall rookie of the year and only gave DROY and OROY. But usually they give this stuff to offense, 2012-to now ROY was offense every year. It is like giving a heisman to a defender, they've got to be extra special.

I usually don't pay attention to these types of awards, thanks for the explanation

Right. And the Pepsi sponsored Rookie of the Year award is voted on by the fans and awarded at the NFL Honors show before the Super Bowl.

Can probably take "(politics free)" off the title now. Don't think it matters anymore.

Congrats to Nick! This award was basically a lock for him though because he's not only the best rookie, but already one of the best players in the entire NFL.
