Why post this in the Bosa thread? The guy was an absolute terror in the Super Bowl.

In a game where they weren't going to call holding we definitely should've blitzed more towards the end. Can't hold everyone if we send more guys than they can block.

Obviously easy to say now but as I've said in the Jimmy thread...there was blame to go around in a lot of ways.

Nick is probably the one dude who you couldn't blame. He gave it his all in that game. I hope we get him a few rings for his efforts this season.

You need to think about that for a second. Hill, Watkins, and Hardman vs larger corners. They'd get toasted. On the play that where Watkins burned Sherman we did send 5. It leaves Sherman with little help and KC's speed then becomes too much. As with most cover 3 teams we're a send 4 and play coverage team. The o just needs to score or hold the ball at the end because that's 3 times now that the cover 3 gave up 10 point leads in the 4th. Teams start playing a quicker pace, unless you mug the guy holds aren't called in the postseason, and the d line gets worn out. But calling blitzes vs KC's speed and mismatched corners likely won't fare any better.

And not only did he become a Niner, but he absolutely kicked f**king ass as a rookie.

Agreed. For me it was Bosa or bust. He didn't disappoint.

I don't know why teams just didn't go at Sherman - considering how bad he was burned, when they went at him.

Agree

He was a complete success I every aspect of his game.

That was his rookie performance - imagine how he's going to bring the hammer next season.
