Solomon Thomas bumped him off the list.

If Lynch had drafted QW and the odds looked like this could you imagine?

How about this nightmare. QW and Solly next to each other inside.
Disaster avoided.

Can't screw up too many #2 picks up or in a position to draft the second pick. If only Lynch would've drafted the new Poster boy Mahomes.

My only concern is Big Boss getting double and (evidently) triple teamed a-la Howie Long and Charles Haley back in the day. Those multiple teamings put Howie out for a couple of years with a bad back. Then the Raiders drafted Greg Townsend and when Howie came back, the Raiders D-line was unstoppable.
Haley was just a beast and had good D-line help but was still held and choked (as pointed out by Mike Ditka). The Niners must maintain good D-line play and depth in order to maintain it's dominance AND to keep Big Boss healthy. IDEA = Next year, after the Niners win the Super Bowl, put together a package of players and draft picks and trade for Joey F#*k it!!! Do it this year!!!

nope
The haters would not have watched him, and the sheer fact he turned the haters around shows how amazing he was.
the talk would have gone something like.....
"Told you he would get hurt"
or
"Dude couldn't even get double digits sacks... those short arms sure did miss a lot."
"DT's always take some time to mesh...the only reason we could trade for the 13th is because QW is the future...Picking QW is like getting a stud DT and getting an extra 1st rounder.......we couldn't have done that if we took Bosa"
Lots of people that watch football, but not the 49ers do not appreciate Bosa the way we appreciate Bosa. When you hang on every 49er snap its VERY clear all the stuff Bosa does. Snap in and Snap out....that is our guy.

The only fan base that doesn't understand that is the Raider fans who say Crosby shoulda been RotY. They didn't understand the impact Bosa had on every single snap.

i heard it from other fan bases too, and saw negative comments on multiple draft sites researching up coming players.
There was actually a post talking about an article written about the Bosa effect in a negative way, with many posters agreeing with it...IE fans might drink the cool-aid because of a game here or there but the next result is an 8-9 sack season.
We cant watch everything, at some point we have to look at stats.....
In the case of Bosa, my thought process was...he might be the best available, but i really didn't WANT the dude. I was highly skeptical of him. If you look at only stats you can re-inforce some of those beliefs....the problem is....we actually follow the team...and the dude was insane. Not a single 49er fan would complain about 10 identical season that were JUST like last year, but stat guys would say...well the dude never broke double digit sacks.
Not that I think we will get 10 seasons with out double digit sacks..... I think the guy is the next JJ Watt and will crush the league. Thank God the 49ers got him.

Yea. Pass rush stats are stupid because they don't take into account double/3ple teams, chips, roll outs to the opposite side etc etc etc.
After week 8 if any OC schemed Bosa 1v1 against their guy at LT, they would be instantly fired.
"THATS your plan to protect our rainmaker????"
Bosa steadily got better at handling misdirection and keeping the edge. Very exciting.
This guy WILL be even better than last year.
Especially if we deploy quality around him.
