Reading through the post, he was injured in high school, college and now another ACL, so young and all these injuries...
part of greatness is availability, it's not his fault but the talk coming out of college was durability which he stayed healthy last season.

Yea, I was/am against Bosa because of his past with injuries. However, even I have to admit that he suffered a freak injury. It could have happened to anyone.

I take your point, but some of it is luck. Frank Gore destroyed his knees and shoulders before he was drafted. Now he's the NFL's version of Methuselah.

Not sure I can remember a single injury that has derailed me as much as this one. Nick was the single player that I felt we couldn't lose to have a chance at Super Bowl redemption.
Now combined with all of the other injuries we're experiencing, I'm just about ready to check out on the season mentally lol. Add in the lowered cap next year and the slew of free agents we'll have it's going to be so difficult for the team going forward to sustain playoff aspirations.
Bowman's injury during the NFCC deflated me like a b***h. Dude was in his prime. That was a magical playoff run until we ran into those f**ks in Seattle. It would have been easier to bear that s**tty ending had Bowman not been injured.
Yep that's the other that immediately sprung into my head. It just had to be against Seattle too then it went to complete sh*t after that.
Jerry Rice's knee injury. The difference was we had so much talent back in those days that the team could survive it. Same with Montana's back injury. They had Young to fall back on. We don't have that type of quality depth now because of free agency and the salary cap. Back in the 80's they would have had a former pro bowler as a backup.

Reading up on it now, apparently it is common.

It would make sense since all that stuff is connected in a small area.

Need to draft edge rusher early again next year. Love Bosa but can't rely on him staying healthy going forward.

This team is so unlucky. Name any other team that has suffered the injuries we have over last few years to their starting QB. Star edge rusher. Top WR.
Then you look at FA. Signed Jet to be a key part of offense. Gone before ever playing a snap. Malcolm Smith, not great player but big FA signing tears Pec before taking a snap.

I'm with ya pdizo. I'm not sure you can look at the injury Bosa sustained that game and say it is because he is injury prone. If it was a non-contact injury I might agree, but this was Bosa getting bent over backwards. Most players would have had a significant injury in this situation.

Should we be concerned he also had cartilage damage as well?

Typically I'd say no cause It's pretty common with acl tears, but with our Luck, I am concerned
