He'll be like Frank - with two re-constructed ACLs.

Unfortunately he tore his left knee ACL. He rushes off the right defensive end spot, which means he bends and plants on that left leg, which will have a reconstructed ACL.
Everyone points out AP as an example of coming back to a high level of play after an ACL injury but that's more the exception than the norm.

Shanahan says that both Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas have had their ACL surgeries and he's heard that both were "extremely successful"

he rushes from both sides, and I don't notice a let-off when he's coming off the left after having the right knee rebuilt in HS.

Rare positive day on the 49ers' injury front:
— David Lombardi (@LombardiHimself) October 7, 2020
Jimmy Garoppolo, Dre Greenlaw and Raheem Mostert and will all return to practice.
Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas' ACL surgeries were "extremely successful," as Shanahan has heard.
Negative: Emmanuel Moseley is still in the protocol

Ahh he rushes from both sides...I can point out to dozens of football players that have come back just fine from a torn ACL.
Just pass rushers alone that come to mind are Von Miller (2013), JJ watt, TJ watt (twice), Chubb, Justin Houston, Clowney had microfracture surgery which can be worse etc...
here's some other dudes
Say that to Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Watson, Rivers, AP, Gore, Cook, Gronk, Hunter Henry, Edelman, Keenan Allen, Allen Robinson, Mathieu, Chris Harris, Joe Thomas, Marshal Yanda, Eric Berry, Rod Woodson....Lemme know if you need more examples 😊 https://t.co/v7vdSiLCUV

As long as we don't ever use the doctor who did Trent Taylor's foot we should be good.

AP shredded his ACL and MCL, Bosa has a pretty standard/clean ACL tear by all accounts

I've never heard a doctor say that the surgeries didn't go well or weren't successful. Unless the guy dies on the operating table.
