As much as I like Bosa, I'd do it

I realize it is a sensitive subject when discussing the possibility of trading someone of Bosa's caliber. He is an unbelievable football player and as Hysterikal mentioned, plays at a premier position. It would be a bold/risky move, but I don't see the FO doing it. Even though I did bring up the hypothetical

I doubt that the Jets would do it. Trading what could be a generational talent for a great DE that's coming off a serious knee injury isn't very likely. The Jets need a QB that can be the face of the franchise. As good as Bosa is, he wouldn't create the buzz that Lawrence would.

What if Lawrence pulls an Eli/Elway?
I cannot believe what I am reading. We have for YEARS been trying to find a guy at edge. We thought we had it in Aldon. Prior to Aldon, we hadn't had anyone since....Charles Haley? And people are talking about trading Bosa? It's almost like Ninertalk has jumped the shark.

Don't they rebuild the ACL better than it was? Frank Gore comes to mind who had both reconstructed and he ended up kinda good still.

I certainly hope so dude.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild him...

Pretty much where I'm at. Bosa and Kittle are like the only 2 players I wouldn't be willing to trade. I would be trying to trade Ford, Alexander, Ward, Jimmy G and McGlinchey

Oh I was a huge "trade for Jimmy G" guy back during the Solomon Thomas draft. I wanted him bad. I've completely soured on Jimmy as our future QB. I'm open for trading up for a QB and this draft has quite a few prospects from what I'm reading. I don't think with our roster we "need" a Lawrence. We need a slightly better 2019 Jimmy G and that imo shouldn't be that hard to find.

The problem I see is that the roster may change next year. With the cap situation they are going to lose some players. Maybe a starter or two but certainly some depth.

Let me rephrase that. I don't think we "need" Lawrence with Kyle and our D. If we can keep Verrett and he stays healthy and bring back Eman or Sherman. Bring in some real edge rusher depth our D will be back. And whoever the QB is just needs to convert 3rd downs and not turn the ball over.

I do not disagree but it is almost like we have waited YEARS for a QB (the most important position) too. Since...Steve Young. Ninertalk has not jumped the shark, people are just emotional beings. We are unhappy. We want to win the SB. Not lose because the other team's Quarterback (and refs swallowing whistles ) takes over the game with 6 mins left in the big game.

Would love to trade those guys too, but no one wants those overpaid scrubs lol jk

And this is why we suck this year. Of course you need a great QB. Great QBs win you SBs. You cant expect to be a consistently good team without a good QB in todays nfl

Edge is important, but not as important as QB. We have been trying to find a QB since 1999.

I have not scouted Trevor at all, but if posters here say that hes an Andrew Luck type of prospect, I would sit down and listen to serious offers

That sounds good. I saw a mock draft that had the Niners taking DBs with their first two picks. I wouldn't have a problem with that. Look at the QBs and receivers that they face in their own division. Having better DBs and getting Bosa and the pass rush back will go a long way. You can't have too much depth or quality in the defensive backfield.

Trading Bosa would be waving the white flag for a decade. The team still gets crap for trading Haley, and that was only done because he was a problem in the locker room. Bosa has no such problem.

Bosa is an untouchable and keep-at-all-costs player. As is Kittle. Warner is getting close to that. Anyone else is moveable.

100% agree. No way you move him for any type of compensation.
