Like Cohen, I'm going back to the Bosa trade. If I can trade Bosa and a 2022 draft pick for Watson. It was done yesterday.

Top 10 QB for top 5 DE is a no brained.

I would assume the #12 pick would be included, no way would they take JUST 2022 picks. Think about it, if you were the one trading Watson, would you take that deal?? Not to mention Bosa is coming off a ACL injury from last season. So many teams would top that deal in a heartbeat!!!

Watson has leverage. Pulse a premier DE in prime is perfect Watt replacement. If we have to give or 12th and not 22, then do it.

ask yourself this.....would you trade Kinlaw and Bosa for Watson? How about Buckner and Bosa for Watson. Even AA and Bosa for Watson? What about Thomas and Bosa for Watson? I would in a heart beat.

Right in a heartbeat, but would they accept that and do you think that is the very best deal out there??

And the only leverage Watson has is declining the trade. Other than that I'm pretty sure the Texans are more than content on keeping him. And if he sits, they'll pile on the fines. The best thing Watson can do is retire, so they can't fine him. And maybe he calls their bluff by retiring or maybe they just let it ride out.

Either way, Watson isn't worth the trouble and price. Moving on.
Can we stop talking about stupid hypothetical trades that won't happen?

Bosa was the best player in the playoffs for us and arguably for any team last season when healthy. Watson would be awesome here but depleting your roster of a stud like that is bad for winning SBs.

This SB was perfect proof that even an elite QB on a loaded offensive roster with great playcalling can't win no matter what and pass rush was critical in beating that guy.

I would much rather wait til draft day and give up 4 firsts and other picks to get Watson while keeping our top guys and defensive corner stones.

Lol too bad for you there is no chance it's gonna happen so there is no reason to keep talking about it. Nick bosa is gonna stay a niner and dominate. What has deshaun Watson actually done in the NFL besides put up stats.
"Here, here, take all our good players and picks to hamper our ability to replace those players"

Yet there's fans that want to trade him

Yeah and that's just crazy and stupid. Some fans are delusional and have no common sense of what's reality.

Yup, agree. If you go to the Kyle coaching thread - 20% of the fans think Kyle sucks as a coach.

If there is a total of about 20,000 WebZone members, then about 4,000 are in La La Land.
How long a 49er before Watson wants a trade to the next team that his feelings wont be hurt? Nothing guaranteed and a lot of money and potential trade capitol (Bosa) for a very big unknown.Maybe the next greatest thing but odds are against things working in our favor.Would be willing to take a big chance on Watson but not for Nick the great.

Agree. I was in the same boat and it sank this last season.

if we just had competent qb play, we likely make the playoffs. mullens was so bad, maybe beathard wins us a few more games

We just need to freaking stay relatively healthy. You add any one of:
Bosa
Jimmy
Deebo
Kittle
Raheem
To this team every game and were sniffing playoffs
Please have a healthy and luscious career with the 49ers
