The rules are VERY different for unvaccinated players and losing guys like Bosa or Verrett for 2 weeks could be make or break for our season. Having a game forfeited with guys losing their game checks as a result would be pretty damaging.

I certainly hope it doesn't come down to that but people are catching this sh*t all over the place again. I hope they decide to get the vaccine(I don't know if Joey had it done since he wasn't wearing a mask during his interview for the Chargers but they had it outside so I don't think you have to wear a mask for that)

I just want to see our best players on the field. We've had such sh*t luck with injuries lately that throwing covid into the mix is just playing with fire.

Let's see where he is in a couple of days. He said he is still evaluating the topic. Let's go with that for now. He wants to win and has put a lot of work into his rehab. It is hard to imagine he will take a risk with not getting the shot and going through all the extra procedures and protocol that comes with it.

Re: Nick Bosa — there are such things as scheduled days off. They're very common. Bosa even suggested there'd be plenty of those in his return-to-play process yesterday. So no reason to sensationalize Bosa not being at practice until Shanahan talks (unless clicks are the goal)

I can't see dudes like the Bosas walking into a grocery store and just throwing something in the cart without reading the label for 5 minutes. The coaches seem impressed with how he went about rehab and how he looked coming in to camp. He cares about his body and his health.

Are you under the impression that it's random media people talking about things they don't understand? The vaccines safety & effectiveness has been confirmed by world class doctors. But why trust them when we have YouTube videos from random internet people!

Exactly.
Add in Auiyuk as another who we should cut!

I truly hope Nick does get his 1 shot…J& J…no second shot needed. Two weeks after injection he is 70% covered. At 4 weeks he is 90% covered. Sure would like to see him get his shot, ASAP, as season is right around the corner. Genus it right…this is not political…it's football. And we can't afford to lose him with a full blown case of covid, and that is exactly what VAX is for. If you get exposed, you get a light case , maybe, maybe not . But he won't be protected for 2 weeks AFTER the injection so the sooner….the better.
The fact that we are concerned about a football player getting a vaccine or not shows how messed up this world is atm lol whether you're for or against it.. I miss talking about actual football

Was this a shot at Cohn?

Just…stop.
Get your vax shot. Thx bye.
I remember when Borland retired. The amount of hate shown on this site was shocking, but not surprising. Funny how after a few years, people talked about his decision as perhaps being right for him, given everything that began to be unearthed regarding CTE.

As a fellow person, I hope Nick does what he believes is best for his body. If that aligns with what is best for the 49ers, great. If not, c'est la vie.

Ah, the "holy men" argument used by the intellectually lazy. Smart people are wrong about stuff all the time.

However, you missed my point. Pro athletes bodies are the tools of their trade. I would EXPECT ALL PRO ATHLETES to be hesitant of putting any substance into their bodies and to be more informed healthwise than the average Joe.

And all this uproar and Bosa didn't even say he was against it. He was just taking his time. Yet people here are attacking him for political reasons. The Jason Verrett and Aiyuk threads don't mention anything about their status. That tells me all I need to know.
