BEAST get this man a bookend!
I don't get PFF...they even contradict themselves.

After the game in their game breakdown article
"Unsurprisingly, Nick Bosa led the way for San Francisco's pass rush with six pressures."

PFF recorded pressures for Bosa for the game - 5

Have they ever actually owned up to what they consider a pressure?

There were people in the Nick Bosa thread in the draft section that really questioned his motor.

The dude's motor runs HOT ????????????

That said he doesn't look the same after "all the injuries"

What? He's only one year back from the ACL. He won't be 100% till next year. And look at what he's doing. Some people

Man, some people can't be happy, Bosa looks like he's back, he just took the brace off, he has 10 sacks, should have more, but they never call holding, even though he's not just being held, he is being held in a head lock.

He has been even better than his rookie season. The ACL injury doesn't seem to bother him from game 1 of this season.

He's been better but the DL overall has been much worse…understandably so. Hopefully they're going to get better cuz we need that pass rush to be on point to cover up for our corners.

The poorer play of our corners also makes it harder to get to the QB. also, the fact that we have been quite poor (for large parts of the year) also slows down the rush as we had to do a better job of keying in on the run - particularly Armstead is playing the run much more than 2019 lately - and it's worked, we have been trending up.

We're also getting wildly inconsistent play from the non-bosa edge. Dee was our #1 opposite Bosa and Arik was the #2 in 2019, Dee is out and Arik is almost exclusively inside.

If we can get better play from ebukam, omenihu and Willis can provide some consistency it'll improve the overall defense 2nd half of year. Already looks like key is helping on the interior

Chase Young isn't as good as Nick Bosa. It's that simple. That's not a slight but a testament to how good Nick Bosa is.

Washington has the best DL in the game with Chase Young, Montez Sweat, Jon Allen and Daron Payne. Their real issue is injuries. They've been hit with a ton of injuries. To say he has no help is a joke.

Chase Young is a physical freak, a unicorn. But Bosa, even as a rookie was probably on of the 10 best technical linemen in the league and will like only improve from there. It is a very underrated aspect of being a rusher.

This is why it took josh Allen longer to get going than Bosa, he had physical tools, but poor-ish technique

What's funny is that he looks like he is coaching up the other linemen.

Kind of funny how different the "pressure" stat is between PFF and PFR

PFF has Crosby with at least 63 pressures(they don't have his Bengals game graded yet)
PFF has Bosa with 42 pressures

PFR has Crosby with 26 pressures
PFR has Bosa with 32 pressures

Just goes to show you some of these analytics should be taken with a grain of salt.

@2:00. Bosa talks about how he's getting the hang of how the sack leaders in the league do it. "Rushing with a plan." The interesting part was when he said in his rookie year, he was "trying to win every time". I think he is referring to not using his best move all the time. Like how a pitcher will throw bad pitches on purpose just to set up the strikeout pitch later.
I don't think this man can be stopped without being held
bosa and cooper kupp had the same dude operate on their ACLs and they came back better than before

kinlaw had his knee operated on by the same guy

Well pressure is an opinion based stat.

if a quarterback rolls out the pocket on his own free will but has a rusher chasing him…I guess that's pressure but it isn't effective pressure.
if a rusher beats his man and forces a quick throw by the qb that is effective pressure. PFR numbers are lower than PFF so that makes more sense.

Both guys were fantastic before the injury.

Can't say the same for Kinlaw.

Absolutely. Bosa's grasp of set ups, timing, instincts, and positioning are insanely good. On yesterday's sack, look at what Bosa did to this tackle's base simply by utilizing jab steps. At this point, he didn't need to do much more. I've noticed he's not using his signature double swipe as much this season. A lot more power and simply beating guys with better fundamentals.
