I care more about Bosa getting a First-Team All-Pro than CPOY. Chad Pennington's two CPOY's doesn't do a thing for his resume other than telling us he actually had some decent seasons.

I think that award is like an insult to a player of Bosa's calibre. By being nominated for that award the voters are saying they didn't expect him to be doing so good.

Coming back from an ACL is not routine. It's not a gimme that he plays lights out again.

I think any of the defensive guys (even guys as small as Arden Key) can hold up against 320-lb tackles as long as the 49er offense is eating up the clock and resting the defense. It's when guys like Bosa and Arden are out there down after down and they are tired is where they start giving way and typically get road graded. I think that's why Kyles complimentary football is so great - the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. That's also why I don't think Jimmy (or even Trey) doesn't need to throw deep quick strikes - I think that just forces the defense out there again to get tired - and possibly get pushed around, and by getting pushed around, lose morale for the entire team.

Same here, Bosa is my favorite D player since Willis, I miss Willis, that defense was great with him & Bowman in the middle, but this defense can be just as great & scary with Bosa, and if we can get another nice young EDGE, re-sign Jones, Kinlaw comes back strong, I like the Omenihu kid, had a nice stop on 3rd and short.
