he learned how to monetize sports news in the current social media world

he generates clicks and gets ad revenue...there was an article about how sports journalism has changed and GC talked about how even a short video clip magnifies views he gets

i avoid clicking on anything from him at all costs

Yeah agree there. I wanted Samuel Jr before the trade down. Good thing is this draft is loaded with great depth at EDGE/DB/OL I think that's were SF needs to spend their draft capital.

Also who knows maybe Banks turns into something this yr I was so dumfounded by that pick though. Dude isn't remotely close to a scheme fit and it's not like he has some amazing traits that can be molded. He was a starter for a couple yrs with one of the best OL coaching staffs in college....the fact that he couldn't beat out Brunskill and reports out of TC saying he was the worst OL out there is troubling.

It's hard to tell with SF at DE....is it gonna be a speed rusher or someone that can lineup at multiple positions? They seem to be drawn towards the latter.

Need a pure edge for sure. I dont care if he can play both sides like Bosa, but we totally need one. Speed like Ford would be fantastic. Try to keep Key? That would be one hell of a rotation.

Somewhere in that range is what I think Nick gets, $30.5M-$31M a yr, 5yr extension, $80M-$85M fully GTD, $100M overall GTD, $30M signing bonus, then a $10M option bonus(protected) in 2023, just means it prorates if they pick it up, if they decline it, it would get added to his 2023 base salary, we've done this with Kittle, Warner, Armstead, & Juice most recently, also I expect Nick & Deebo to get GTD dates like Trent, Kittle & Warner got, so say X amount is injury GTD, it'll be become fully GTD on April 1 of the year before that year, so April 1, 2021 Kittle had $5.083M of his 2022 base salary become GTD, the rest($6.367M) becomes GTD on April 1, 2022.
