This. Bosa sucks...

He's already going to get paid a record-setting deal this offseason either way. I don't care as much about the award as the performance that would justify the award and how it would help us this year.

Award or no award they will have to make him the highest paid defender in the league

For sure. But maybe it's a difference between $70 guaranteed if he doesn't win the award to $80 guaranteed if he wins the award. Either way he's rich, but any relief the 49ers can get for their cap situation, I'll take it.
"It's not your money"
I know that, I'm thinking about the 49ers and how they can better fill out their roster with quality depth. Lots of highly paid players on the team and any bit of cap space here or there can help.

I have net $3k (pre tax) that he wins the award. Plus he deserves it.
I think Bosa is going to have another 2 sacks this week. Bucs line isn't doing too well and Armstead is back .. he really helps bosa out

Would you rather have $3000 in your pocket, or perhaps an additional depth vet OLman for the 49ers?

Not exactly mutually exclusive options. But I get your point. I want to win a championship! A DPOY trophy is a nice secondary thing. And the three grand is gravy if it hits.

Lol. The correct answer is $3000 in your pocket. But you passed the test, true Niner fan.

FWIW the salary cap is projected to hit $220 million next season (it is 208 million this year).

AB, if you are out there, is that correct? I have heard and read they were talking about the $256. Mil range. Which is it?
Bosa is writing his own check regardless of what made up awards he wins. That's about as obvious as it gets.

Brady has the fastest time to throw in the league, so it won't be that easy. Even with the injuries to the o-line they've had, Brady has only been sacked 18 times (27th most in the league, tied with Jimmy).
Re: Nick and Tampa Bay, Brady, like all other QBs, hates to get hit, hurried, sacked or INTed, but that is the key to a W for us. And Nick will be a huge part of that. He has a game half as good as MIA, and we should win it, assuming Brock just plays within himself, no need to carry the team on his back. No INTs, make good reads, and we get the W. Nick and the D plus #71, au jus, #85, Aiyuk, JJ, Deebo, Elijah and the amazing McCaf will do the rest.

Let Brady get the ball out quickly. We have LB's and S's who love to make contact as the ball gets there.
