The easiest argument for Bosa is if he's not playing our defense isn't the same. He's the catalyst.

Hey. Nick don't look like a dumbass celebrating while your team mates are fighting for the ball. Otherwise we love you. Hugs and kisses. Please don't leave forever and ever.
lol what was he supposed to do? He saw that Willis had caught the ball and other Niners rushed in there immediately. Keep your legs out of that moving pile of guys. Imagine if he had been in there trying to pull guys off Willis and had his leg rolled up on when the pile fell over?
IIt just didn't look right. Sorry. Please stay Nick. Forever. And ever and ever.

If we had followed up on our original plan to get a second Premier Edge rusher opposite bosa, he would have an additional 6 sacks just right now. And our team sack total would be double what it is.
I can't even think about it the vision of it is so destructive.

Single season sack record and 1-2 more highlight-reel plays and he'll be in the MVP discussions. He should be already.

Yes, Bosa (and our defense as a whole) would benefit from a more established edge rusher on the other side. When he was healthy, Dee Ford was a very good complement to Bosa. That 2019 pass rush was absolutely lethal with AA and DeFo in the middle too.
But with salary cap considerations and limited trade capital, there weren't a lot of options without overextending ourselves. Still though, Drake Jackson in the 2nd round looks solid in limited snaps. Hopefully he develops into a guy that can rack up a lot of sacks.

There are, IMO, only four players in the league currently worth close to as much as a good starting QB: TJ Watt, Myles Garrett, Micah Parsons, and of course, Nick Bosa.
Bosa has 37 sacks in his last 34 games (since the ACL injury).
TJ Watt after the 2021 season is the only statline that outpaces that (38.5 sacks in 31 games) but obviously this year has taken a step back with his injury keeping him off.
Bosa just turned 26 and still has his fifth-year option. Garrett is 27 and Watt is 28, both on monster extensions.
Bosa is the most valuable non-QB in the league right now. I hope he does what Aldon couldn't do: be our franchise edge rusher for the next decade.
Bosa's awesome in that, not only does he have great speed and power… he has outstanding technique, and from his interviews, you can sense he's always figuring out how to get better.

They should have separate Offense & Defense MVP awards.

They do. MVP is a QB award cause honestly it's the most important position in football and it's not really close. Then OPOY and DPOY is a non QB MVP award.

Edge rushers are a direct response to FQB's, I would say edge rushers are more important than QB's because without one you absolutely cannot stop a FQB and therefore they should be in the conversation for MVP every year as well.
But I do hear you, why not have separate MVQB, MVOP, MVDP awards?

That's virtually what they have. And I respectfully disagree that an edge is on par with a QB. It's why everyone would take a year 1 Tom Brady over a year 1 Lawrence Taylor.

Not true, they have a MVP and a Offense & defense player of the year.
What award do you think every player would like to have? If they had the MVP and then the QB of the year award and only gave the MVP to edge rushers, what would everyone be saying?

And you want a Most Valuable QB which is the MVP
the most valuable offensive player which is OPOY
the most valuable defensive player which is DPOY
