you know on the plus side......
at least people are saying things like "the best performance in recent memory" and "1 yard per return"
If you are going to take a punter...at least the punter appears to be generationally good.

Not going to put a lot of stock in NFL net which has gone to crap over the years. Bunch of has beens that can barely talk. They can't evaluate talent and proclaim someone a star after a quarter of good play. Their recently hired draft expert took a guy 4 overall that should have gone 10-13

Great to have an Aussie connection back at the 49ers. Welcome, Mitch. I have no doubt you'll justify where you were drafted and show these blokes how it's done on game day. Love that you still sound like an Aussie too.

Sounds like it's entertainment or who you know that gets you those gigs. Plenty of WZ posters who are overqualified for the job. Do you know any one who should apply?

Doesn't need them. Not his game. His game is laser precision accuracy. King of forcing fair catches and coffin kicks. Plenty of leg though. Absolutely can uncork a 50+ yarder.

I've never heard a punt boom off a punters leg until him.

He has a monster leg. Could easily be our punter for ten years. Imo it's a wise pickup.

He averaged 45.2 yards a punt last year. Most of his punts were big punts.

I think if he can continue his punting like he did at Utah he will become a fan favorite.
