As a Utah fan this drives me nuts. We spent a 4th on him for a reason yet haven't even utilize it once. Last year I posted at least 15 punts in which a fake could've worked but nothing.

You think Hightower has free reign to call fakes when he pleases?

He has free reign to impress upon the HC that he can run these with success like every other ST coach in the NFL.

You can only impress the HC with those fakes in practice.

In an actual game, there are variables that come into play as to whether you would actually call for one that go beyond "well it worked well in practice".

Just once. That's all we ask. It's been 4 years.

But only 22 games with Wish.
I've been waiting for this for a long time and also noticed that one of his punts against the Rams was comically wide open. Could have probably run for 40 yards.
this team doesn't have the balls to run a fake punt.

Down, distance, score and so much more are factored into whether or not we run a fake punt. They hardly work to begin with, and when they dont, the results are usually disastrous.

Why not just go for the 1st down with your regular offense? We did that last week by the way... and got a touchdown out of it.

What an annoying post lol.

You are not wrong. There have been not exciting returners on this team for years. We need someone who could return aggressively like Hayne did in his brief glimmer in the 2015 pre season until it all went to his head and he thought it was ok to bite women on the p***y when he was drunk

I'm actually talking ALL fakes...not just with the Special Teams Weapon.

Yeah, we've had 3 of the best college returners in the game with zero production. To me, that's on coaching and coaching preferences. He's not trying to help win a game. Hightower is more concerned about losing a game because of his unit.

So we need to go for fakes just to go for fakes?
Terrible 4th round pick
When they drafted Wishnowsky in the 4th they talked about the sound the ball made when he kicked. I expected booming 50-60 yard kicks but so far he's been just okay. Nothing bad, just okay.

you want us not to pass the 50 so you can see these punts ?

I expected better. Andy Lee is still G.O.A.Ting out here
I'd like to see them do it to Seattle.
