I just don't get the attraction. What a bust! Lets bring back the Pinion. There is not much difference in this position anyway. The pick does not match the coaching. What a waste.

Not a bust. It's a waste of a pick.

That's fair. What would you liked them to have done?

Not trade down with the Bengals and have selected my draft crush CGJ

So you would rather have Pinion and pay him three times more than what Wish is making. Or maybe you can have Hekker you know the other punter on the field yesterday that is making nearly five times more than Wish.

So.....if Lynch could predict 2020 and draft a 6th down RB you would be in this thread of whatever punter was picked up from the car wash and praising the GM's genius for getting such a good deal. Really? I wonder if some folks even football around here sometimes?

This is incoherent. Not sure what you're trying to say. Sorry mate, I don't speak bogan.

And you have a connection to Oz? To dumb it down for you my point is that you obviously have brilliant 20/20 hindsight re covid and team needs.

Maybe it is the 49er scouts/GM/HC believing the hype about punters who win Ray Guy awards are better than 5th down backups.... since that seems to be the way you interpret the 4th round pick.

You're making way too much sense. But......4th round pick.

A 4th may he questionable but the salary cap savings, this season in particular, aren't. Difference between Wish and Pinion is about 1.9 million which was enough for Hyder, Verrett, or Reed. Could of easily done something different with the 4th rd pick but the money saved at least was needed and helped bring in a veteran contributor we desperately needed this year.

Is 51 yards not good ?

is 2 yards worth drafting a punter in the 4th rather than signing a UDFA?

This comment should put a nail in it. Not sure how people keep arguing against this, besides a personal connection with the man himself.

You guys are crazy. I heard all the stuff people where saying when we drafted him to justify the pick and non of it has materialized.
He was so athletic we where going to be running fake punts, he could angle kick it to the cone, his punts bounced sideways. None of it has happened.
He had some good punts in this game but his 2 touchbacks in this game where Terrible they where at our 39 and 44 and they rolled end over end into the end zone.
You can not blame the gunners on those either those where on him.

You guys are just trolling,

Hekker is a 4 time All Pro, don't care where he was or wasn't drafted.

Wish out punted him.
