This is not fair...and this is coming from me.
Only the chiefs saw mahomes potential. He was not talked about being a top 10 pick. I can't fault the niners for not selecting mahomes.
And if so was so special in college, why did vast majority of teams passed on him twice in the draft?

Doesn't matter, since punting is situational and stats can be deceiving. Only stat I wanna hear about is number of probowls given a 4th rounder was used. Anything less is a fail. Dude can't even compete with jack fox, udfa from same draft class. Fox is a probowler already. Never draft a punter. Case in point.
