between andy lee and mitch wishnowski, who do you think has a higher net avg and more punts inside the 20 this season?

Doesn't matter, since punting is situational and stats can be deceiving. Only stat I wanna hear about is number of probowls given a 4th rounder was used. Anything less is a fail. Dude can't even compete with jack fox, udfa from same draft class. Fox is a probowler already. Never draft a punter. Case in point.

When you starting bringing up Pro Bowls I thought you were being sarcastic. Then I realized you weren't. Pro Bowls? Really?!

Damn straight for a punter taken with a 4th.

Pro bowl= popularity contest. All pro is what you should care about
Of all the things to really care about.... A punter???? A PUNTER!????? MY GOD..... Get some perspective people....

It is not like the punter is screwing things up. He lands most within the 20s and they are hard to receive. On yard average he is 7th in the league. I would get the criticisms if he was shanking them all the time. Mitch ain't going nowhere for a few years yet.

I mean he's not an all pro but damn at least he's better than Pinion.

Could've traded up for DK instead of fragile Jalen and Grandpa Mitch.

Sad and unbelievable that they didn't trade up for DK. Anybody could check youtube and see that he was special and when he dropped we should have jumped on him.

PS. also Mahomes would have been nice instead of Solomon Thomas back when we had no QB's and the #3 pick

It's not hindsight, I wanted them to trade up for DK in rd 2 during the draft
And I also wanted a QB instead of Solomon Thomas.
And pro GM's should have done way better than Hurd and Solomon Thomas. Lynch and Shanny failed

What about all of your other picks you wanted the team to draft that are busts. I am sure you only mention your best picks not everything else. This makes your whole point quite meaningless

This. The pro bowl punter is on one of the worst teams.

One excuse after another. Our offense hasn't exactly tore it up this year. You're undying loyalty is commendable though. True blue!

Niner for life! I suppose you didn't answer the teams call for votes for the pro bowl players they selected?
Has he ever pinned a team within the 5 yard line? Watching Andy Lee out there pinning us deep 2-3 times paired with his short kickoffs and unimpressive punts is really making me wonder about Wish. Hope he gets better.

Which QB in the 2017 draft you would had selected?

I guess your weird fixation and incessant complaining about a punter of all things and using a fourth round pick on one is "commendable" as well.

I mean the point isn't without merit as you indeed don't have to spend a draft pick on one or can go lower than the fourth round. But it isn't as if we're the first, or last team to do so.

And finding guys like Wilson, Breida, Hasty, Bourne, Brunskill, Mostert, Dwelley, Givens, and Moseley, heck even Mullens as undrafted free agent signings or off the trash heaps of other teams shouldn't have you this upset over one pick for one punter.

This is actually a fair post. What doesn't fly is those who make excuse after excuse for this pick. Just admit nothing in Mitch's performance justifies us drafting him in the fourth. I'd be surprised to see another team draft a punter this high anytime soon given Mitch's performance.
