Crappy teams seem to kick it out of EZ, and better teams seem to kick it to 2 or 3. It is just eyeballing it but that is what it seems
Some returners are happy to run it from the EZ based on their confidence on blocking and speed......or how bad they they think the other ST unit is. They seem to run it often against us even it could go for a TB.

I'd be hacked if KO is deep in EZ (GTD 25 yd line) and returner makes it out to 18.

It seems the low % play for a possible long range gain. Gutsy, but i guess coaches are happy to sacrifice 10 yards early.

They aren't weak legged. Well Gould probably is but Wish is being coached to keep it short.

Twig leg, what a stupid mistake taking a punter in the 4th round.

Tired of the opponent starting near the 30 yard line. Basically 3 1st downs to get in field goal range.

I can tell by the run up. You play enough soccer you know how to blast it and how to place it.
Seattle did the same with Dickson a couple times. He can kick it out the stadium but they had him go short to make tackle.

Hightower said last week he wants touchbacks. This waste of a pick can't do it consistently.

Imagine spending countless hours as ShanaLynch noted studying kickers to panic and overdraft this dude in the 4th and then realize, he can't kick a ball far enough on basic kickoffs and you have to turn to your 45 year old FG kicker who, of course gets overworked and pulls a muscle before the last Seattle game. And then having to go back to Gould. And then having a ST coach like Hightower who doesn't even teach him the basics (where to line up, the 2-steps, etc.) on kicking FG's in case his 45 year old FG kicker goes down (again).
Just a cluster f**k of decision making starting with ShanaLynch that snowballs from there.
It's not Wish's fault although that "attempt" last game to prevent a 99 yard TD was about as weak as it gets.
Here's Shanny on Wish. Dude got us points but people are worried more about kickoffs from a punter.
But I talked to [wide receivers coach] Wes Welker who did it his whole career and was one of the most trusted guys and he tells me that Mitch's ball is the hardest he's ever had to catch. The way it can knuckle, the way it can move. Especially when you get in some elements where it's wind and at night. I don't know if he did his hard ones on those two specific ones, but it wouldn't surprise me because I hear about it from Wes all the time and you can see it."

Weird how once they benched Phillips that Wish stopped punting the hard to catch balls… He should probably always use that kick cause it clearly had nothing to do with the Bengals returner

Spot on! Funny how many apologists there are for this guy.
