If the theory is for special teams "not to lose" (confirmed by Kyle) then it makes perfect sense for them to look for a tackling punter.

I see that has worked out perfectly for the team.

BTW, Mitch is a bad punter. Worst in our division.

While a 4th for a punter is kind of ridiculous... people want to look at yardage, and his net yardage isnt too bad. The one stat that should be pointed out a bit more is his returns. Excluding that recent return everyone wants to sh*t on him about, he basically has enough hangtime that everyone fair catches. He had 20 returns in 2021, among the lowest of all punters. You either kick it 50-60 yards and allow a return or you kick it 40-50 and force a fair catch, pick your poison with what kind of punter you want.
