Stuff like that, that happens a decent amount is why he got paid decently. Quit crying.
Length stat wise Dickson was better but not factored in is wind strength/direction and field position. Likewise Mitch was better for inside 20 stat.
Punt muff helped Wish but even though valiant in trying to run down the blocked kick he fell short.
Dickson gets paid more than Wish so I guess thats a win when you lose the game.
A huge reason Wish was drafted was his knuckle ball punts. People seem to forget that

You are correct. He has created more muffed punts during his tenure than anyone in the league during the same time.
There are no stats widely counted for hang time, field condition, altitude, air pressure, % of field punted etc which all effect the stat results for the commonly reported data. I guess they hope it all evens out in the end. or really don't care.
All that matters is they get field position or hopefully a turnover and don't stuff it up.
He has been much better but the guys giving him credit for the muffed punt are crazy. The blocker ran into the returner the ball hit the blocker in the shoulder.

Funny how some are giving Wish credit for the muffed punt. Now he does get credit for the 7 points from the blocked FG. Atrocious tackling!
If a team is relying on its holder to make a TD saving tackle something much worse has already unfolded. That something worse was on Dwelley, not Wish.

Well....lets just say the blocker was pushed by the gunner in to the returner. Does this happen if it was a poorly placed punt?

What I mean is there are plenty of longer punters but what's the point if the gunners can't get to the returner and thus create the opportunity for a turnover.

Tackling was not the issue. Wish wasn't fast enough to catch that ball carrier. Wish is fast for a punter, but the ball carrier might be a 4.4 guy, who knows.
Had some great punts to start off the season

It was Mike Jackson their corner, he ran a 4.45 at the combine.

Weren't all his fanboys touting his speed and tackling as a game changer when he was drafted?

Dude. He is a punter. You have to put that into perspective. He can be the fastest punter in the NFL but not fast enough to catch a 4.45 guy. I cannot believe I have to explain this to you.

His consistency seems to have really improved. Is this related to him not having to kickoff anymore? So now his muscle memory is dedicated only to the motion of punting? Looking like a 4th round punter.
