2) Does our ST work on onside kicks ? That was the stupidest onside attempt I've seen in my life. Not only did it not travel 10 yards, but it just rolled to the other team with no bounce.
what the fuxk

1) Did you actually watch this properly? Crap play but tell me exactly like I am 5 how he was supposed get near the ball much less the recovery player? Our special blockers let 3 of them to get in his face.
2) Agree. Head scratcher. A factor now is that the rule change almost negates it's usefulness. We have no good onside kickers including Mitch. Place kicking is low on his skillset IMO.

If he doesn't improve it could mean the end of the road. So many off the street can step in. If injury not fixed then don't play.

If he's still injured then the team needs to shut him down for a little bit and let him get healthy. We can get the same production from a street fa with what he's giving us atm.

Amazing. I thought I had seen the stupidest onside attempt vs Zona when he essentially rolled it like a bowling ball to the other team, but the KC attempt may have been the worst in NFL history.
this is what poor coaching (Schneider) and poor coaching support (Shanahan) does to you. We don't even have a capable kicker to attempt an onside kick, and it doesn't look like Shanahan/Schneider have any interest in practicing it.
So sick of this inept team from top to bottom.

He looked like my toddler trying to kick a ball with that onside kick

So do all of us, yourself included, a favor.. stop watching, reading about, and especially commenting about them.

The 49ers are 32nd in net yards per punt. Here's how
— Kyle Posey (@KP_Show) October 21, 2024
5 players releasing to the left tells me the punt needs to be inside the numbers, where the coverage is. If you miss, err on the side of going out of bounds, not to the MOF
3 players fall. Returner goes untouched for 55 yards pic.twitter.com/ncLUz21Pza

If they think Mitch is the problem then they should bring back Pressley Harvin.
