Mitch is getting that treatment now for going early in the 4th.

First I've heard of that
That's because your glasses are foggy.
Care to share the source of it?
Good luck finding that. IIRC it was a video. Kyle himself talked about how moving up in the 3rd was a concern for BeatHard; adding more pressure because of the 3rd round stigma vs. 4th round. He wasn't mad at Lynch for moving up but more concerned for his new QB.

This dude better be the second coming of Ray Guy. Wait until he shanks his first punt for a net 15 yards lol.

Wait until he pins an opposing team down on the one yard line.

I think that's fair. Pinion was about as average as it gets and didn't hurt or help us either way. We know the production of the pro bowl punters. It won't be too hard to assess. I hope he only has to punt 40 times and is a weapon for us. Also, kick every ball out of the back of the EZ on kick offs, please.

Except when he on-side kicks.

Some punting fun facts.
In 2016-18 (Wishnowski), Utah was 1st, 5th and 4rd in net punting. Utah allowed 417 punt return yards in those seasons combined. 2.4 yards per return.
During the whole 2017 season, they allowed a total of 88 punt return yards.
In comparison, Texas in 2015-2017 (Michael Dickson) allowed a total of 649 punt return yards, for 3.1 yards per return.

So I guess there was a valid reason why this was the first anyone had heard of this lol

Just imagine what Daniel Jones must be going through... Manning won them 2 rings and those fans still seemingly wanted to oust him every other year.

I mean you can understand where the confusion stems from , right? First you said KS was mad at Lynch about trading up for CJ and then you said he wasn't mad at Lynch. That coupled with the fact there is literally no video or evidence of Kyle saying anything like this. I watched the presser again last night after they drafted him and he explained why he wanted to trade up to get him. This was Kyles call and explanation

I could be dead wrong since I'm going off memory but I could of sworn it was Kyle that actively wanted CJ in the 3rd. Something about Kyle saying he didn't want to go to bed that Friday night not knowing if he would get him or not.

I think the going to bed quote was for Joe Williams, but KS did advocate trading up for CJ as well
Actually looks look someone cited it as CJ so don't listen to me lol

Yes, that's right. Shanahan only wanted BeatHard, so Lynch green lighted going up to get him.
NC's spreading fake news to please the Aussies.
https://ninerswire.usatoday.com/2017/05/01/kyle-shanahan-landed-only-quarterback-he-wanted-in-nfl-draft/
From The MMQB's Peter King:
. . . someone suggested moving from early in the fourth round to late in the third, five spots up, to snare the only quarterback Shanahan wanted in this draft: Iowa's C.J. Beathard. "We'd all sleep a little better if we got him instead of waiting 'til tomorrow," York said.
So they dealt for the 104th pick to choose Beathard, the grandson of former Super Bowl GM Bobby Beathard. "He processes the game so well," Shanahan said. "Tough as s—. Got a chance. He reminds me a lot of Kirk Cousins."
Both Shanahan and general manager John Lynch indicated they thought Beathard would get taken as early as Round 4, so San Francisco moved back into the third round to get Shanahan's guy.
